1. A huge and diverse Race/Class selection. There are around 10,000 sapient/sentient species in the Star Wars universe - let's hope to see at least 10. Especially Togruta's. 2. A variety of classes, and a variety of specialization within each class. A three tiered/specializtion system: Bounty Hunters that focus on meleé combat, ranged, or a combination; The 'standard' Jedi classes - Sentinels, Guardians and Consulars. Ect. 3. A huge, relatively seemless galaxy. Planets should be seperate instances, but the entire planet should be instance free. 3a. -> Person preference: I want to explore Coursant. I want the City Planets (and Cities) to be huge in scope/scale. When I fly into Coursant the first time, I want to be overwhelmed. I want to break atmosphere and just sit at my desk, floored by how grandiose it is. :-D 4. Ships and a flight simulator minigame. Space combat is intergral to the Star Wars universe. I want to be able to pilot larger freighters/fighters. I want to own a small fighter/transport. I want huge cruise ships. Large, wealthy guilds/alliances should be able to purchase huge Cruisers/Battleships to particpate in Space combat to take over planets. 5. An AMAZING PvP/RvR system. Apart from a few bastions of Sith/Republic power, every planet should be capturable by either of the factions. The battles should be dynamic - break through the Air defense systems, land ground troups, melee your way to (and through) the captiol system before taking it for your own faction. I'd go on, but I'm supposed to be studying so I'll leave it at 5. |

well if all 5 of those things happen i can deff see the goal of this game happening and that is to put WoW out for the count.

Definately the ability to create our own lightsabers, I would love to have a dual ended light saber like Darth maul had but white instead of red. |

1- Mac and PC. 2- Atmposheric flight within their game design- no SWG references here.
3- Space combat within their game design- no SWG references here. 4- DX 9 and 10 support. 5- A XML UI. |

Unfortunetly, you can't compare single player graphics to MMOs. Designers of a single player game have complete control of the polygon count that you are going to see at any one time. They control the terrain and the number of NPCs in an area. MMOs do not, each player adds polygons to the view and the designer has no control over the number of players that will be in an area at one time unless they instanced everything and that wouldn't be fun. MMOs have to have lower polygon character models so that when 100 players show up in one area at the same time, everyones computers don't immediately crash. Sad but true. |

5 things I'd like to see? Well, graphics isn't that important though it can't look stupid. To put my thoughts into perspective, WoW isn't bad to me. Though I do wish it better than that. 1. Player run economy. 2. Extensive Player Crafting with a reason to keep crafting. Hate to say it, but that would mean decay...probably won't happen though. 3. Detailed Guild Control. A reason for guilds. This would enable player-created content. 4. Space travel....more than just click on a console or a robot and appear there. 5. Player or guild housing. But, not crazy like SWG. Restricted areas such as cities, spaceports, space stations etc. Instanced or not is ok with me.
That's all I can think of. I'm not expecting a sandbox game but give us at least enough to create our own content and story lines. Guild politics/war etc. |

Interesting that alot of posts would like to see the game to be developed into what SWG used to be, and implement elements that were being suggested for SWG long before the NGE. |

1) "Sandbox leveling" NO classes...just any skills, any combination, etc. 2) Freelancer-style space travel/combat 3) FFA PvP, full loot 4) Plenty of planets to land on 5) No auto attack, just 1st person click-attack aiming. DARKFALL 09! Apparently 08 didn't make it :( Sorros of Forumfall. |

It seems most are just really looking for control of their character and to not be forced down a path in a game that they really have no interest in doing. Ex; forced to go into 20hour dungeons in order to get an item, instead people are asking for the ability to actually just purely be a crafter, or at least have crafting be a worthwhile expense. When you can have such personal touches to a game such as player owned housing, or the ability to decorate your house/ship (whichever you live on), or the ability to spend hours upon hours simply crafting because its enjoyable; that is a game that you will not leave anytime soon. Not because its "Pre-NGE" shit, but because it allows you to get so much more involved in the game on almost a personal level. "And after blizzard takes over the world, they are gonna gather a bunch of lemmings, sit on their fat asses near a cliff, and watch the little fuzzy bastards suicide dive into the ground below. . . . . all just for their own entertainment." |

1) Leveless skill based system. 2) Crafter based, player driven economy. 3) Huge open seamless world with little to no instancing. 4) Player housing and cities 5) Make jedi and sith hard to obtain
and 6) CHANGE THE GRAPHICS. Make it look like the KotOR games, not the Clone Wars cartoon. Jeesh Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic |

I'd rather have Bioware make the game they would like to play and not what I would want. There are to many people with to many different ideas of what makes a good game. There is no way to please all of them anymore. Once upon a time people were happy to have an MMO at all where they can travel around with other real people. Now it has to have x feature or y feature or I'm not playing it. :P |

1 and 1 only:
not being able to choose jedi right off the bat, and not having any clear path of getting to jedi. It was the coolest part of SWG. No one knew if it was possible to be jedi until one person did it, jedi were actually a rarity and it was an event when you saw a jedi.

I agree, making Jedi/Sith secret or unlockable characters is a horrible idea for a SW game in this time period. Unlockable characters would make it so they should be more powerful than the typical class which is a big no no for a MMO. Plus there's no real reason for it other than bragging rights, which I guess is what MMOs have pretty much boiled down to... virtual rat races, as if we don't have enough of that in real life. |

MINIGAMES! Sabaac, holochess, podracing....minigames will help this MMO be different and more alive than the rest. |
