Offering more exp in open rvr probably won't help much. WAR is not like daoc at all unfortunately. The scenarios have really hurt the spirit of the game. As for Darkfall, beta has been right around the corner for several years. Lets say the beta really does start in December, you really expect the game to be released at the end of the month? If there is a closed beta even going on now or soon, a game can't really accomplish much is just 2 months of beta testing. If DF is released at the end of this year, the best it could be is mediocre. Supposedly, the only problem with DF all these years was they had no publisher. If that were the case, then they still could have had a beta. Also, if it was so close to finished and testing, several publishers would not have just jumped ship. Seriously, do not expect the game to come out in a couple months! If it does, without the proper testing, it will be crap. I do want Darkfall to come out and be a quality game, but I expect absolutely nothing from it. I was too hopeful already like 5-6 years ago. I see the same eagerness now that i did about Dark and Light and we all know what happened there, lol. I even saw the AoC disaster (mostly since I don't trust funcom is any of their endeavors). Sorry got off topic. i think it is too little too late for WAR. it will do well because a lot of people like the scenario style of play, but I was very disappointed. The funny thing is, in the closed beta, I did more open RvR and testing of characters at high levels than scenarios. The game was 2 completely different experiences for me. Wouldn't have bought it if the beta was that way for me. |

open rvr is so full of bugs that only guilds do it to get gear form heroes. theres really no point in wasting time sieging etc.
anyway Fallout 3 coming out bye bye WAR and the destruction biased crappy rvr gaming.

so play RVR and gain what maybe 3k in a hour or so or play a 15 min scenario and gain 8k, Decisions like this are tough.
this game was supposed to be about Relm vs Relm not team vs team, although it was not as big of a disappointment as AOC but its up there. i still can't believe they haven't toned down scenario exp/ren by 75% or more yet. yes they would lose some people but they would keep a whole lot more. |

I hate to say it, and it's probably already been pointed out, but this WON'T bring people back en-masse to Open RvR - it's only good incentives for holding a keep/taking a Keep/OB that will. The reason - for 10 minutes effort, players get a scorecard at the end of a scenario that usually has a BIG number - i.e. it's completely visible to the user that XP that they have gotten from that 10 minutes of victory/defeat. A larger amount of xp trickling in from killing players over a 1-2 hour peroid ISN'T immediately visible and clear. Purely from a psychological perspective, people will stil continue to do Scenario's.
But everyone TOLD MJ that this wasn't the miracle fix - so I guess we need to wait for the follow-up. Currently Playing Nothing... |

Hiding signatures altogether is your friend. Look it up in your profile. Cuts down on unecessary noise considerably. |

Probably some of the best news I've read in a while.
Levelling in WAR is slow, imho. It probably has a lot more to do with the class that I'm playing, however, than the game itself. I do think there is a 'grind' to the game. This news helps move that grind along in a big way.
WoW should've done something like this to save their open world PvP game, but they didn't.
