game looks freakig awsome but doesnt te charecter in the screen shots look top heavy? not very realistic unless its supposrd to be pam anderson or something lol |
|

screenies look great... can't really comment on the shape of the characters at the moment. Big boobies could be a player choice rather then hard coded. |

i didnt think of it that way and i have nothing against big boobs at all lol |

I am going to give it a shot regardless. But I don't know... from the screenshots I have seen it kinda reminds me of Tabula Rasa. Makes me wonder.... Does no one else think this? |

to be honest, as a SG fan, I dont think of it as TR. It is the story behind it is what makes star gate fans want to play it. we've all watched it ffor years and everyone of us has always wondered what it would really be like to travel through star gates and visit other worlds. this is as close as we get which is pretty cool. |

Another SG fanatic here and that will never change. SG and SGA for LIFE! I will be definetly playing this game for years to come! Fallen Earth / Lords of War |

Looking at the screenshots I also thought of Tabula Rasa. That's not necessarily a bad thing though.
I'll give the game a shot once it launches. Whenever that is. |

Remember, if you see negative posts here, SGW just started beta. |

Characters seem lacking in personality. Very cold and .. almost eastern, or more LOTR side of things. Plus the anatomy is off, that shot from the back her shoulder is dipped into her ribcage not her shoulder socket. I dunno if it's the lighting model, edge loops on the character models or what but the anatomy of the female looks off in several areas (not just the odd shot where she appears topheavy). A good king. A great king. But not greatly good. |
Graphics are nice, but all they ever show are people ducking for cover.
DUCK AND COVER! DUCK AND COVER! DUCK AND...............and?

The question remains, how interesting will the combat remain that just seems to evolve around getting cover then firing. If that's all the combat is, then I fear it may start to feel a bit lacklustre. Lets hope there's more to the combat system than just take cover fire all the way through he game. |

It looks a lot like TR to me, minus some lighting effects and general detail/resolution. To me, however, I see this as a general plus. Combat in TR, especially the firefights, was what kept me playing (that and decent adversary AI during them). The problem with TR that I had was the same problem the Spawn comic had initially, every issue was the same drawn out story that never seemed to get anywhere. SG has the ability to include diverse settings, pristine bases instead of "thrown together" battlefield types and have more storyline than a "post" cataclysm/recovery type thing. TR might have had a few worlds but players were back and forth on them and the developers move so slowly that players always had ample opportunity to notice they were doing the same thing over and over with a different backdrop on occasion. |

I understand they're in early beta but, given their (terrible) videos thus far, these screenshots aren't giving me any more confidence. My current opinion is "still not impressed." Looks like an amateur reskin of CS, at best (that female model they've chosen to use is horrible). I think they need to focus less on pumping out low-grade shiny and more on development - they already have peoples' interest (it -is- SG after all In an effort to be optimistic, though: their scenery looks.. nice? I have my fingers crossed. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to play an SG MMO. |

I guess I am the only person not impressed by these pictures. The UI looks horrible and the characters are as bland looking as their enviroment. Games I've played:WAR, LOTRO, Tabula Rasa, AoC, EQ2, WoW, Vangaurd, LoTRO, D&DO, Lineage 2, Saga Of Ryzom, EvE Online, DAoC, Guild Wars, Star Wars Galaxies, Hell Gate London, Auto Assault, Grando Espada ( AKA SoTNW ), Archlord, CoV/H. Games I Am Currently Playing: Checking out Darkfall and Fallen Earth ( Taking a break from EVE ) |

I'm not impressed AT ALL by these screenshots. It doesnt look Stargate at all. Where are the Gould, the Jafa ? Staff weapon, Zatt. All we see are human with SMG ?!?! It's Tabula Rasa 2 ? |
