LotRO Lifer

This is when I started my CB sessions of LotrO, 2 years ago, and I'm still a fan. Turbine has created something that will be apart of my gaming for many years to come. With all the free updates and added features , LotrO has surpassed a milestone of achievement only some game developers can dream of.

The time and energy that Turbine has put into the community has really paid off for them, maybe not with WoW numbers, but no game will ever reach that many players, and I feel Turbine realizes this and is tucking the ball and preparing to just control the clock. Having free content insure current players that the game will grow, and expansions will ensure many other surprises.

ALmost 2 years, and when I think back at all the cool things I've done, people I pgot to meet and play with, it fills mme with some of the best memories of my mmo endvor. No other game has propelled me to such happiness and content to keep playing since my 3 year run with L2.

Great Job Turbine and I'm look for a 10 year run with this game (with some pit stops along the way)

Yeah, ive been enjoying this game since the first day of beta. Turbine has done really well with this game. So much content and so few bugs. Its amazing. And the free content added between launch and MoM is great and plentyfull. Im sticking with this one.

I myself recently came back to the game after a year and was in awe of all the new content. One of my gripes when the game released was not enough quests to go from 1-50 but now there is more than enough to level up purely by questing.

I still think the weak point of the game is the lower levels 1-20. Most people that tried or bought and then quit  the game based their decision on that content.

I'm just glad to be back. I  must admit what Turbine has done since release is amazing. Moria is just going to to make a great game that much greater

no friends?  Find a good kinship, it definitely makes the game more enjoyable. Very helpful and friendly

I first started in Beta but did not stay because I was hooked on Lineage 2. I recently came back a month ago since I have finally said farewell to Lineage 2 and I am loving Lotro. Best MMO on the market for sure.

Lineage 2 was great game, but some things I just couldn't ignire, botting, adena sales and the over all corrupt game community, you will find very littel of that in LotrO, there will be some dumb gold bot spamming the channel, but you can do a "report spam" just by right clicking the name, it automatically reports the gold spammer and puts them om ignore. Need less to say , the spammers don't last long in LotrO !

I would also like to say well done and give a pat on the back to Codemasters for all the hard work and dedication they are showing toward keeping LotroO alive and well for us here in the EU, maintaining a great forum (as well as keeping an active prescence on said forum) and keeping us informed and upcoming patchets and hotfixes etc (are you listening GOA?, this was actually a deciding factor in me dropping War and carrying on with LotrO)

Also oustanding is the in-game customer service, if you need help, a GM will be there in just a few minutes and do their best to help you,. at least that is the experience I have from the few times I've had to contact one, usually at really odd hours due to work. Last time was a couple of weeks ago when I managed to get myself stuck in the scenery for the very first time, jumping down from a cliff in Forochel and landing under some kind of open tent, if anyone wonders.

Anyhow, I sent a query and just a few minutes later a GM contacts me, I tell him about my problem and he quickly teleports me to a safe location nearby, he is very friendly and asks me if there's anything else he can do, very proffesional.  And this was early in the morning, on a saturday, so those GM's really are online 24/7 it seems :)

For PVE I agree the game is awesome I only wish I could interact with NPC's while mounted. I guess it would be lorebreaking if people spoke from atop a horse. This really bothers me alot for some reason but other than that the Epic questline's are great. LOTRO is also my number 1(pve) game!!

I've played a lot of MMOs and none of them compare to LOTRO for me. The community is great, the graphics are outstanding and its just plain fun! LOTRO will also always be my #1 mmo.

Oh didnt even think about the GM response time and support as I guess I take for granted the game has very few problems. I did use it once and I figured it would be hours or days till I heard anything back and within about 2 minutes I got a response.

I have never gotten a response that fast before and they quickly helped me with my problem as well. I have had tickets in for 3 days before in WAR before I would get a response although it is a new game so they could have a much larger workload than LOTRO does. WOW sometimes 30 min sometimes 2-3 days never reliable time wise although both games always fixed the problem.

With customer service like that I am more willing to tolerate bugs and other in game problems it really goes a long way with me.
