DaoC, EQ2, DnL, WoW, GW, SWG, AC, Tibia, WAR - atm: EvE and LotRO

not one server is marked as "high population"...

No joke, when I rerolled on the highest populated german server - at that time Erengrad - about 9 days ago, because my original server was desolated, I silently agreed to the waiting queues there were, every single evening.

The first evenings, around 6:30 pm, the queues were as bad as 300+, ETA 50 minutes.

Fast forward, 20 minutes ago I relogged and took a glance at the server list. honestly I didn't realize it for some seconds, but then I thought "hey, you haven't been waiting in a queue for over 4 days now, where have they gone?" And yea, there are no more queues, especially, there are no more servers marked "high", at least not 20 minutes ago, a time which was crowded like a rock concert only few days ago.

Is it the free month? Or something else? If yes, what?

You can either agree with me or be wrong!

Someone will come and say Mark said they upped the caps on the servers.

Although there may be truth in that I have a few thoughts on that.

A) It's pretty clear right now that when Mark speaks he speaks about Mythic and the US , GOA is an afterthought, i hgihly doubt his remark on that would happen in the EU the same way.

B) Why? Can anyone think of a good reason to up the caps right now? Anyone could see the PR nightmare coming a mile away when servers drop out of high into medium for no clear reason?

Any new or returning player to WOW, send me a PM for some help getting started.

I'm pretty sure the EU players got an extra week, so their free month won't be up for a few more days.

That said, you really didn't see a huge drop on the day for resubs in NA either.  I think if people realize they are not going to resubscribe, they stop playing awhile before they actually can't play.  I know I played pretty heavy the first two weeks, but then pretty much quit playing for the last 2 weeks even though I could.

No extra week here. My 30 free days ended yesterday.

Will I sub? Nah. I'll give the game/Mythic at least 3 months or so, to sort out/change a few things, before Id consider paying for the game. I wish the game was what  I  wanted it to be. Sadly it isnt.

my server got a considerable hit when blizzard released the pre wotlk patch. SInce then it has been bleeding slowly.  Some other people I know complained about the same. There are other factors , one of them the fact that many are not prepared for a game of this kind (this is not a critic at the game, more at the players)

Personally I havent logged on much work related, but I dont have a burning desire to until they release the 2 other tanks as I wanted to play one of those two.

my order server is still pretty crowded but my destr one is barren for the most part.

Yeah we got to early november in Europe, but it's not much use playing and leveling a char you know you're not going to play again any time soon.
