In that case it's already a winner in my mind! Anyone smart enough not to get mixed up with that bunch has a good head. |

Honestly, What game besides WOW has made that kind of Jack? In fact nothing has done as well as WOW in terms of SUBs and $$$. I mean what game on the Market today can call themselves a success when judged by the WOW model? my stance is that WOW numbers are impossible to get...so why even try? Even if you make a WOW clone, why are people going to leave WOW for another WOW? Why are they going to start from the bottom of the same game they already play? I think you have to come up with a concept that is new and fresh. Maybe a Hybrid of sorts. You know the very best of many current games under one roof. Do that and you have a chance. Otherwise you are just recycling Blizzards current game. INOVATION PEOPLE...is it really so hard? Well to be honest SWG was a great success during its peak. Had over 2 million people. It was doing fine and growing till they messed it up with the jedi and recombat vamp. People left the game not because they got bored, but because of how they messed it up. In fact most people i know went to wow only because of that. And even after playing wow they went back and tried swg after they suposedly fixed everything just to find out it was actually worse then before. SWG set a new standard of gaming that has been thrown to the weighside. Why else do people still carry on about it? The quickest way to enlightenment is through the process of pain. Stacey Lords |

I still believe a Roll-Back by SOE to the Old PRE-CU servers, would get them those numbers back and then some. If I had 200 million I would buy the Development Rights and rebuild it without all the bugs. I would add just a few things... 1) Jedi would be almost imposible to get with a server cap of around 5% to 10% and a Random Unlock System. I would also make them much stronger than before. Jedi would also have a Perma-TEF that would make them a Target 24/7. The Life of a Jedi wouldn't be an easy one. 2) I would make Bounty Hunter an Alpha Profession as well. It to would be just as hard to get as Jedi and just a strong. Again only about 5% to 10% of the server and a Random Unlock. Life also would not be easy as a Perma-TEF would be in place as well. 3) Implement a REAL Smuggler System 4) Create a third faction....The "Black Sun" faction would be a neutral Criminal Organization. 5) Atmosphereic Flight...Launch from the Plant Surface into Space...Land on the Planet Surface from Space. Dogfights in the air, along with Close air support against Ground Targets. 6) Guild owned Ground Fortress, Space Station and Capital Ship System. 7) Add 10 more fully explorable planets in the tradition of Tat, Lok, Dath etc,etc...NOTHING like Musty or Wookie World. All open No instancing. 8) New PVP / GCW battlegrounds that mean something. 9) 5 New Races 10) Add Casinos, Arenas, Pod-Race Tracks, and other Social Hubs that players can both build and own. |

No, SOE has no creditability with the 90% of the old SWG/MMO community that was there from the begin. They lie to us to many time. Remember the promise of a new Force rank system and Captial Ships for PA? Must MMo player who are not EQ/SOE Fanboi will never ever play a SOE MMO again. |

Bioware is known for great game Baldur Gate, KoTOR, NWN, Jade Empire and Mass Effect. If you haven't played it you should go out and get it. I expect to see its combat system in play with TOR! |

My interest is peaked and my hopes are high but my expectations remain undefined. I'll sleep the sleep of the dead, eventually. But, I'm pleased that many of you are a millisecond from bursting wide open and most likely, by this time tomorrow, I'll feel exactly the same. Until the anticipated info. is given out to the public, it's still pre-cu prime time. * Life is not black or white, it's shades of grey. But, at it's best/worst, it hints at 32bit color. -Me (a.k.a. What makes a good MMO? Good quality, good customer service, good business model, good fun. |

SOE has been ushered out of the picture, and the Leadership at Lucasarts was also changed. Two excellent moves in my mind. Add Bioware to that equation and it looks like a good foundation. |

Although, either word could work, it depends entirely on the intent in it's use. I had chosen 'peaked' in the post as a precise reference to an interest that's at it's absolute zenith. Where the word 'piqued' infers only a state of arousal and, when it's used on it's own, is a bit vague. If, I'd chosen to say something like 'overwhelmingly piqued', then that phrase and the word 'peaked' would be equally interchangeable, in that sentence. EDIT-- But, enough of this back to the important info. of the day. ...THE REVEAL! * Life is not black or white, it's shades of grey. But, at it's best/worst, it hints at 32bit color. -Me (a.k.a.
