Perhaps developpers deserve to have failing games, so they can concentrate back on gameplay, like Nintendo shows all the time.

You wouldnt know clunky combat even if it was a freighter truck ramming you at full speed while flashing the headlights and honky the horn...

Clunky combat is non controlled unresponsive behaviour of your avatar with lag and badly animated characters around you which 'jump" a few feet away in an unnatural and incredible stiff way.

The only decent MMORPG that didn't have this was Wow PRE patch 3.02. Now they suffer from it too.

Not in the same ridiculous way as AoC or WAR, but it is disturbing.

And a dwarf taking 5 stairs in WAR on ONE step - floating over the ground - is but ONE example what clunky means to me.

wow does not have good animations either, they're very basic and simple.

If another game comes out with shadows it will surely be a wow clone, afterall blizzard invented in-game dynamic shadows. pity blizzard didnt release the shadows as an expansion feature so you would have to pay for them.

  You cant even call it a graphics update,expecialy for how much PROFIT blizzturd makes per month,it's basicly adding what should have being in from the start.

 Look at EVE,look at the old graphics and look at the new ones ,now that's a graphic upgrade and CCP isnt making even 20% as much as blizzard is making per month and they did it for free.

 Just shows the extreme fanboy syndrom when you yell "OMG blizzard ruxx,tey make shadous".

 Il be impresed when blizzard stops forcing expansions down people's throats (if you want to keep enjoying the game you need to fork another 40 $ soo you can grind to lvl 80 and be on par with everyone else) and starts realeasing free expansions/content upgrades (not a dungeon with generic armor renamed).

It all looks like the same old crappy wow to me

I didn't think the graphics were that good at max.

I don't get it, the visuals haven't changed at all.

It looks just like it did at launch. Still appears as though they have lazy modelers and texture artists who don't know shit about photoshop or mapping UVs; the amount of stretching and the distinct lack of attention to detail is glaringly obvious as always. This is fantastic?

I take it there isn't much else to rave about in favor of WoW?

And by the way, to you EQ2 fanbois in here: Everquest 2's graphics are miserable. Just because it has normal mapping and ludicrous amounts of bloom and specular does not mean it has good graphics. Advanced graphics technology? Perhaps in 2002, but not now, and it's far from "good".

Piped up to max, EQ2 nestles itself comfortably in the middle of the uncanny valley. Even worse, the game manages to run slower than Crysis on a brand new rig.

These games? Good graphics? Don't make me laugh (and I am, too).
