Been playing on Ironfist since the headstart -- pretty balanced server, both sides were mostly at "high" population, with destro getting to "full" now and then. Just this week I noticed both sides were at "medium" during primetime hours. So, like, did they raise the server cap without telling us . . . or are some people leaving the gane? I don't know enough about server caps to figure if the drop from "high" to "medium" will have a significant effect on the game -- too few ppl spread out over the game world. Anyone notice lower pops on their servers? I don't think that the free 30 days is even up for most ppl. |

Makes sense there might be a slight dip, people always play manicallly the first few weeks, then ease up a bit and play at a more reasonable pace. Doubt its anything to be concerned about. (though some folks may be re-rolling on high pop servers)

I've been in mmo's where the server I've chosen starts out really good and then tanks -- not that it becomes a ghost-town, but it's not as "alive" as one of the higher pop servers. It used to be when I sorted the servers both by Desto and Order populations, Ironfist was one of the servers at the top end of the server lists -- for the last 2 nights, it's now kind of in the middle. I assume that means that the population has dropped relative to other servers, or other servers grew? Wasteland and Vortex ,for example, sorted higher in the list of core servers last ngiht by Destro (and Order) population. I've been thinking of jumping ship--easier to do it now when the game is still young and before I set up roots on my current server. Eh, enough conjecture, I figure time will tell soon enough. Thank you all for posting your intelligent replies. I had not thought about the possibility of ppl just simply spending less time in game Vs quitting. |

its the opposite for the 2 servers I play on. Ive notice an INCREASE in population. I ran through 2 PQ yesterday where we actually had enough people to for a warband. |

I have some order toons on Ironfist as this was my original server pick. You are right that the sides are usually at medium and some times on high for both. I did notice this weekend that there was a queue for destro and the order side was at high for most of the weekend. I think it has more to do with people slowing down their play times. |

The drop off in population has only just started no matter what people tell you they will be fairly large drop off in the number off players in the next week or two as there free month runs out. |

Ironfist was my Destro server also. I left a couple of weeks ago, and at that point....I wasn't noticing THAT much change yet. But two weeks.....can mean a lot of changes in any MMO. President of The Marvelously Meowhead Fan Club |

However, a couple of months after that release, I would expect to see people starting to trickle back to WAR (as they get tired of the expansion). |

Mythic has instituted incentives for people to play Order on a number of servers having a lack of Order players. I noticed the first day that some of those servers had moved up to "High". It's probably a combination of some people leaving the game, some people moving servers and many people settling into more sustainable play schedules (people tend to play more hours than their average with a new game). Also, I continue to alternate between alts and a couple mains. The population seems to have largely outleveled Tier 1, which can make the early game seem less populated, even on healthy servers, for those still playing around in Tier 1. |

i love all this whirlwinding about new games, and the predictions by some that it will fail because they dont like the game, or didnt have the best game ever experience. the games not even a month old, things will get fixed, its not like the dev's havent been aknowledging these issues. every games going to see a fist month dip, if im not mistaken even wow had one. Either way your going to have players, in every game, that either decide the games not right for them, burn out from overplaying, or end up boring of it after a month. More people will come, and if not war has enough players to keep it going for a while. Remember this game is comming from developers who brought you 2 of the longest running mmo's in history, UO and DAoC. I think they know a little something about what they are doing and how to keep players. |

I've been trying to get my friends to switch servers to one with a bit more population so I've been sort of keeping an eye on the server list for a potential new home. Not that I getting much interest from friends wanting to move, but the server list is showing decreases. There was only 2 order heavy servers last night and only 6 destruction that showed heavy. Everything else was showing all medium to low during prime hours. The two servers I was watching both dropped to medium status over the last week or so. So I'm not exactly sure what to do now.
I am either going to tough it out in the empty Tiers to catch up to my friends or just take a break until Mythic figures out what to do with servers. |

I play on Magnus for my Order toons and after they put the XP/Renown boost in it has had an increase in poplulation. At least for the Tier 1&2 portion of the game. Not sure about the higher level areas since my highest guy is 19. For the RVR stuff there has been a good amount of people from both sides in Nordland and Troll Country and last night we had a warband running around doing PQs.
Granted the boost that Magnus has had could also be the reason other servers are starting to thin out a little. |

I've heard from a lot of people that after that patch they couldn't even log in for 24 hours. lol And to be on topic. I have noticed no queues as often on volkmar, but I think that's due to people calming down their playtime, not people quitting the game. Could just be wishful thinking though. Either way I'm still able to find plenty of groups and things to do in-game on Volkmar. --------------------------------------------- |

Ostermark has remained pretty much the same since launch, with maybe a slight increase. We had three full Order warbands with an additional partially filled fourth one in Tier three High Pass last weekend on Sunday, so i'm guessing that means we are definately not decreasing in population. Destruction had about 2 or 3 warbands, atleast enough to cram into the keep gate when we broke it down. It took our warbands about 30 seconds of jumping over players, AoEing, and tossing them around. It was fun good fun..... especially throwing gobbos off of the walls. STOP WHINING! |

There is some drop but that is pretty normal for any new game. There is always a surge of people jumping on the first couple weeks and then a bunch deciding they didn't like it and moving on. In a couple months it should stablize. From xfire the drop doesn't look too bad 5-10% per week. |

I do believe that they raised that caps on the servers. I know they had a lower cap at release to not overload the servers. I read somewhere recently that they were going to be raising it soon. |
