Well to start, he can't actually raid with all those accounts. It is not physically possible to control even 10 accounts at one time let alone 25 or more. Raids require all players to be doing something at the same time. Hence it is more a stunt than a reality. I have seen people run 2 or 3 characters at the same time, it is possible, but beyond that....unless the author has invented some pretty amazing AI, it is not happening. So you can stop saying amazing and get back to the pretty dumb idea. |

Yes and Blizzard encourages this. I said it before and I said i again with their total lack of ethics and with some of the shit that they openly encourage on their Official forums Blizzard is heading to a bad end, fanbois can roll their eyes and say yeah sure all they want, Blizzard is on many many Radars right now and not in a good way. |

It doesn't make a fart in a windstorm's difference. It's an instanced game. Ethics doesn't enter into it. "Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice." ~Greys Law |

Both games have instancing sadly, but if someone is boxing outside of an instance, ethics does enter into it. Also games with instancing tend to have the worst economies because people can farm non stop without healthy competition. Obviously someone like this schmuck, can farm more difficult instances designed for real groups/raids that much more effectively. |

I admire this much determinism. I hope doctors are the same way about curing cancer, charitable people in giving to the poor, and relief workers in helping provide food and clean water.
Touché the post above ends this thread :-) |

Sometimes success isn't about what's in your bank account. This is one of those times. |

Personally I would never use multiple accounts. I'm a social person when I play these games so I never really felt the need do this. Get some friends and raid, dont walk around with 2-26 accounts.

My question is though, how the heck do you control 36 characters at the same time??? If he's raiding he's gotta be rather busy http://www.rateitall.com/t-28860-mmorpg-rankings.aspx |

If you have played WoW recently you will see mostly multiboxers. When I first started playing WoW people grouped all the time. Now it's all multiboxing through the early levels and even at the higher ones to an extent. I find this makes the game really boring to play. If he enjoys doing it then it's fine with me, but it somewhat ruins the game for me. I guess it doesn't matter as long as Blizzard gets their money. Perhaps it would be better for companies to make it so every person can control a raid group over their own from one console and then raid and PvP against eachother leveling all their characters at once. At least there would be some interaction then and you wouldn't have to buy 30 accounts and 10 computers to get it. |

And I thought the multi-character MUDs and MUD clients was bad. o_O |

Am I the only one amazed by the coordination shown by this player?? To be able to set all those players up to function in a structured manner is fantastic. Yes, a bit creepy, but I could see him trying it out, seeing the results, and then pushing it to whatever he can. This isn't simply about a guy who "has too much time on his hands", alot of people play WoW or whatever MMO too much to be unhealthy, but this goes beyond that. I would love to see a video demonstration of one of his raids...maybe even a screenshot of his "main", lol. I'm sure it's pretty decked out. |

Would like to know what job he has....to be able to spend $5.711 a year on subscriptions, then you have the laptops and all that have been more than likely been brought FOR that purpose. |

Come on people, use your head, this it strictly someone idea of a gag. It is not physically possible to control that many accounts. I can't even imagine trying to control 5 accounts in a raid let alone more, although it has been done, but 10 man or 25 man raids. Not going to happen. Wow seems to spawn all these made up stories. |

The people that do this use special hardware and software macros. So yes to a certain extent it's possible. He won't have to use evry keyboard. I even once tripped over a community site with forums that was dedicated to multiboxing with people sharing setup/software/hardware advice etc. |

There is a program that is called keyclone which will send keystrokes to all the client Windows on your computer. If you have characters of the same class on each computer then one key press will be sent to all of them at once. That means you could frost bolt x5 or however many clients your computer can handle. I believe it's possible to do. I wouldn't find it enjoyable. I don't even like two boxing. |

I'm guessing he likes to keep his lotion in a basket. |

If he can effectively raid by himself when WoTLK comes out, he would probably be able to ebay those accounts for much more than he's put into them. In that sense, he is no loser. |

Hahahaha, jesus christ, the humanity. Well, the man can do what the hell he wants for all I care, I would pay to see him manage 36 keybords at the same time. But I would reckon he will go |

Well I really feel sorry for that guy if this is real. He will probably die alone.

Completely insane lol. Though, it really makes you wonder about those 10.9 mil they say they have for this game. I can imagine many others have serveral accounts as well. |
