So after getting to 35, I found that I was unlucky enough to roll on a dead server, despite the numbers being high.  I haven't seen an SC on my swordmaster in over a week. So I got frustrated and went to another server to level. Got another swordmaster up to lvl 16, and all I have to say is, whats the point? Swordmaster compared to black orcs are complete crap, and order is as a whole are a head ache. 

Class balance just doesn't seem to be there in lower levels. Am I the only one that thinks healers and black orcs are God mode? Watched 5 mates of mine on one orc two lvls higher than us, with no healer in sight. He stayed up long enough to take one down. I then threw on a sword and tried to do the same. Failed miserably as I was rooted in place for the entirety of the fight. Sure, I can AE hit people, but for laughable damage. So what are swordmasters for? Black orcs seem to do fine solo killing healers.

So I said meh, destro are dominating everything, so I may as well hop on the bandwagon if I want to have fun with this title.

Any guilds recruiting? 

Wow... I must suck at my BO then.  I have yet to kill an even level healer.  Hell, I don't think I've killed a healer even 3 or 4 levels below me solo. 

I have a level 21 BO and a 11 SM.  In my opinion, they are exactly the same class.

You failed to mention what classes your buddies were that were beating on the BO.  Two even level WH and I'm toast without a healer in under 30 seconds.

If there was no melee or ranged DPS that were on him then I can understand him lasting a few minutes, SM can do the same.

Seems to me that your post is a "it's always greener on the other side" type post or looking at the other lane in grid-lock traffic thinking it's going faster.

Coming from someone who has played both.  There is almost no difference.

Edit:  I do agree with your statement that Order is headache.  I definitely have better healers in PUGs on Destruction side.

It takes at least 6 months to reach class balance at alllevels in a MMO. Sorry but you have to live with it or stop playing for a few months until it gets fixed.

One of the bad things with starting to play a new MMO. But don't worry, it get's fixed eventually.

black or survivability is about 5 times higher than sm, dmg is about same, ob seem to have higher burst it seems..  sm last talent in dps tree is broken.. 3 attacks.. which its all cool.. apart its channeled spell so if you move attacks ends..

but what do i know. i might be wrong. i usedthat spell for good 10 mins before quiting game..

you do not create super duper attack.. to compared ( ms ) make it actually deal dps.. then put 3 attacks on timer. so insteado f x x x attacks it goes like x       x      x  , in the end resulting not that high dps increase..

arcane missiles in melee.. of we go..

Roll a maurauder, I guarantee they can solo ANY class 1 on 1 of the same level, trust me.

the OP also failed to mention the equipment he was using and the BO was using. A tank with a sword and board and some decent RVR equipment CAN keep up for a good time even when attacked by several attacker. Of course the damage they deal out is also quite lower, so it all balance out.

I have seen swordmasters do the same as you describe as did Ironbreakers (especially ironbreakers).

Yes, order is awful(reminds me of albion before all the nerfs to mid and hib). Lack of people playing needed classes(all being ugly dwarves), and lame looks have killed order. I swithced to destruction two weeks ago, and don't regret it one bit. This isn't a case of thinking the grass is greener on the other side. It is. In EQ and DAoC I played the gimp class or side, and I refuse to do it again. There is no reward for being gimp. Its up to the devs to make sure its balanced.

I love my 18 SM... my server is dead though and that sucks... I was running solo in a teir 2 pvp lake when I was "ambushed" by a marauder and a BO, both lvl 15, I beat them both within an inch of their lives when the marauder crit me for the remainder of my hp, 700 hp crit... at least I hope it was a crit.

Especially if they are savagery specced. God, that debuffs. The debuffs.
