WAR (Warhammer Online)

Servers are down so...Well I see we could use a thread like this (NO Flamers/trolls plse) -

I have been enjoying myself more playing WAR than any other MMO since EQ1 like many have said...

Here are 5 reasons why I Like WAR -

1. Takes the things we are familiar with and builds on them (took the best ideas and if it is not broke don't fix it). Familiar but upgraded = good.

2.  Good character customization. Some may disagree but you have a ton of options with renown points (which you get a ton of btw), 3 mastery paths, tactics, morale abilities, and even a decent character creation process.

3. The look. The art, characters, towns, mobs, bosses...everything imo looks cool. The game has a gritty feel to it, yet it looks very nice...

4. Lots of weapon/armor choices for a launch. Compared to other games, and most recently AoC, WAR has a great deal of item sets and gear for you to be happy with...I see like 10-20 people at the city AH in Altdorf all day long...

5. War is everywhere. They delivered on this statement, and once the realms settle with population and people are leveld up , the PVP this game offers will be miles above the competition imo. I already have more fun taking sieges and hell even doing scenarios in WAR than any other game just bc of the fun factor...

So what do you like ?

1. PvP leveling.

2. Keep/Fortress sieges.

3. Collision detection.

4. Renown ranks.

5. Tome of knowledge.

Best of all, far as I'm concerned, is the constant pvp.  The ability to queue for scenarios from anywhere is a huge plus in my books, and RvR areas are good times (when people are playing 'em).  I also like the variety of gear... by rank 10 you can choose from all sorts of approximately equal gear for your class based on what kind of stats you want, whether its dps, spell damage, healing, health, or various resistances.  And the fact that you can get from rank 1 to 40 without killing a single NPC is a gooder too.

Not so much on this one, my poor chosen has axe and sword, zealot has a dagger : ( But armour is nice

You said it here, to many people judging way to early but I love this answer

 

So what do you like ?

I would like to throw scenarios in there as wel. I mean sign up anywhere and get returned to where you were when you entered. Thats awesome. Don't always take the pop if Im right in the middle of a PQ, seige or quest, cause  i can just sign up after.

Collision detection and the ToK are both Awesome..

Good Subject

1) Its warhammer.

2) RvR that you can do something in and it means something.  :)

3) Everyone can Fight!

4) You can see the WAR going on everywhere.

5) Graphics, it looks like warhammer.

another thing i happen to like is the fact we can use last names

i been missing that feature for a while now

1) Killing people

2) Killing people and getting experience for it

3) Killing people and getting loot for it

4) Killing naked people

5) Killing witch elves

1. Names of the classes, not just your lame, Wariror, rogue and whatnot.  

2. Keep sieges are just amazing.

3. ToK is awesome.

4. This game is about teamwork in a variety of ways. . I love games that require parties to get things done.

5. Geting loot and xp and money while doing PvP.
