WAR (Warhammer Online)

Heres the deal, its pretty simple.  This is a team game...now i have a 13 DOK and a 10 BO.  with my DOK i can keep my entire team healed by throwing instant cast hots, and doing damage that spreads heals to everyone near me...I end up healing everyone. Now..when I play my BO I notice that no one bothers to heal me ever.  Healers heal the squishies...which is an epic fail...because they can usually not out heal the damage focus on them anyway.  I see a healer screaming why wont you tanks protect us? Well the same reason you healers wont heal the tanks.  Im so tired of joining a SC, and most of the healers are off healing other people like Marauders or Sorcerers and they let the tanks die.  When I mention that I need heals...they get all upset and tell me to stfu or something along those lines...but then they bring the point up that we should be protecting the healers and not pushing the line.  Well then...hmmm...so we stay in one spot protecting the healers that dont even want to heal us.. meanwhile we arent pushing so the Order is taking all these points and then we get screwed when its over because we had spent the entire time protecting the healers and our exp isnt there.

You guys want to start a list of brats that complain about getting heals?  Thats good, because im going to start sending names of healers that dont feel like healing and actually helping their team. If your a healer do your job and heal. There is no If's or buts about it. When you guys dont heal our team losses the match and the experiance to go with it.  And to the argument that the BW or the Sorcerer needs to be healed so they can do tons of damage...just throw an instant HOT on them and watch them blow up stuff.  In fact how hard is it, to throw a HOT on your team members that have lost HP? Look at your team that is near you and prioritize which one of them needs to be healed.  Heres a hint...if the tank dies, your entire team dies.  Obviously if the tanks arent protecting you corectly,  send them a message and get them to.  rank 10 = guard for healers which will be your best friend going forward.  Think about it.

First.. I play a sorceress. I don't expect any heals EVER.. EXCEPT.. when we are getting beat so badly (back to our spawn) and the shaman is DPS'ing while I'm being focus fired (The shaman isn't healing the tank because we are all on the cliff.. ).. When we are all in combat.. Please DO NOT HEAL ME.. because it's a waste.. instead heal some body that will benefit and is in actual danger.   A bright wizard/sorcerer.. are the last heal targets.. (although they do a LOT more damage if they are being healed.. but provide considerably less defense)

Now, this only applies to the RANGED healers.  If you are an incombat heal (WP/DOK) you should be assisting your teammates with your heals.. and NEVER top the damage charts.. while only doing half the healing.  Remember.. you guys have  spell that lets you become a horrible ranged healer.. but a ranged healer none the less. Team First DPS chart second.

Ps. I always protect the healers with my root/slow whatever I can get on them.

I heal everyone in the same scenario as me, even the stupid lazy healers who are too busy doing their gimped DPS. I don't grow angry and jaded when people complain, because I can just ignore them. I won't stop healing them though, because scenarios are a team effort and if don't heal people, I'll just be punishing myself by not helping my team win.

Sure, I get lots of people who cry for heals once they get focused down by 5 guys (what do you expect? I would be OP if I could out heal 5 guys with 2 HoTs). Do you know what I do to these people? I just point at them and laugh at their futility. Then I rez them.

I'll disagree with that. I play a healer and I do a good job keeping my team alive.

It makes me angry when I try to play anything BUT a healer, and I am backed up by incompetent healers.

The only reason I like to play my RP is because when I do, we win most of the time.  I'm not pretending to be an elite player, but I think we've all been in a scenario where a healer or two DID THIER JOB and it made it so much easier to win.

There is nothing more frustrating than being anything but a healer and loosing because one or two people choose not to do their job.  Yeah, its your right to play how you want, but please roll a different class.

I got my first complaint the other day, after I had just got pounded by 8 Destruction and was ressing at the respawn area since no one wanted to run in and go after the Bauble holder.  

QQer:  "Can I get a heal?"

Me: "No"

I got a little ticked, when he continued to reply, told him to shut up.......he claimed he was "asking nicely" so I explained to him how annoying the healers is ONLY going to get him on my mental "Do not heal" list.  

And frankly he was a Shadow Warrior, which if they aren't friends are low on my list of healing priorities. 

I rarely get to go in solo anymore, my priorities are my fellow guildies + other healers + Ironbreakers.   After that come Swordmasters and people that I know do High DPS (Bright Wizard/Witch Hunter generally).    After that come the other random squishy DPSers. 

I've played a squishy DPS before in other games, and I've played a healer before too.   When I played a squishy DPS, I did NOT expect heals from someone who is healing the entire raid group (as I do - not just my party).   When I got them it was a bonus.....and I took the time to emote or say "thanks".    The few random thank yous I've got in this game were noticed, and yes that did bump them up on my priority list lol.  But again - I surely do my best to heal everyone, however there have been plenty of times where I'm the only one healing and a lot of people are taking damage.   All I can do is my best and hope to continually improve.

My opinion is this:

Should you heal everyone even if there not in your group: yes.

But do you have to:  No

Are you a bad healer for only supporting your group and not your team: No

Every healer ive known (even me included) are touchy, egotistical control freaks.  If you dont see the classic you better do this or im not going to heal you. You know you dont have a healer in the area, that healer is a bot, or someones trying out the class.

Back in tier one I told people I wouldnt heal them cause they were naked. They would get pissy and say how low lvl gear is useless ..yadda ydadda...

But I dont care, if your naked I aint healing you.

Yea this is one that bugs the crap out of me. The tanks and medium armor wearers with no armor on getting smoked in two hits complaining about heals. Im glad that other healers ignore them like I do.
