I'm criticizing it for being repetative because i think it is. Just like you think it's not. So that's why I am. To your knowledge? lol ok I'm saying sieging WILL GET boring. How many times do you really think you can do it? MMORPG's are supposed to keep you entertained this one won't after a while. So yes same old boring MMORPG's that everybody is bringing out. Nothing new same map in top right corner, same spells at the bottom, press these same buttons for this. All MMORPG's are the same just different ones use different things from each one. Nothing new in this game.

Everything gets boring eventually.  Thats a fact of reality.

What I am trying to point out is that RvR has the highest replayability of anything MMORPG's can offer. Note: I am NOT saying that RvR is ENDLESSLY replayable!  Nothing can be.

..but then I notice you liked SWG before SOE cocked it up.  So are you telling me that SWG (as it was) would never ever get boring?  No, of course it would. Eventually.

So the argument is really about  HOW LONG before sieging gets boring, isn't it?

So why do you think sieging will get boring quickly?  Theres lots of variation and possibilities in PvP so I cant see people getting tired of it soon.

EDIT:  Guy above me noticed you clocked 700 hours of WoW..  you've really lost credibility with that revelation. lol.

Really sorry to hear that you think that was great gaming and an awesome experience!

So I gather you plan on just doing keeps forever and ever?

Let us know when it becomes old ok, that way we can say told ya so :)

Lol, u crazy?

WAR is not a "siege that keep" game. If you haven't noticed there is a "few" other things to do in this game.

In all my MMO experience I haven't played a game with so many different activities you can switch to and from at almost a moment's notice.

solo questing(same as any other game), public quests(same thing each chapter and tier)

no, nope have you done any of the heroic ones? or the one in elven tier 2 when you're advancing over a battlefield with 20+ mobs fighting by your side against waves of infantry, cavalry etc?

- solo for grinders and group for raiders, exploration outside the quest system(ummmmm no)

yes, have you even really tried to play the game?

scenarios(same old bg's) no, by far

keep sieging(isn't this instanced?)

no they aren't you obviously havent even played the game AT ALL,

skirmish RvR(only remotely fun if you're on a high pop. server)

no, i play on low pop and have a blast capping all the objectives with my strike team while they're trying to figure out where we are

crafting (no really, isn't a blast but you can do it)(the worst crafting i've seen)

it's a bit sparse at the moment but the basic principles are very sound

instanced dungeons (have you found any yet?)(no, but equipment drops are horrible in game anyways)

go play WoW then for your purplaz, my guild made a few runs in altdorf sewers and our capital city leveled shortly after in part due to our efforts - you can keep your purplaz, oh and btw have you seen mt Gunbad yet? oh sorry I forgot you're not actually playing the game because you don't know that keep sieges aren't instanced

guild politics(seems exciting)

yes it is actually. guild alliances are active and meaningful here

realm strategy(coordinated by who? you going to get 30 people to listen lol nope)

oh yes you can - guild alliances and coordination on the level of guilds - we are already doing it on our server

twinking in T1 without breaking the game(fun?)

yes - casual nice fun, i have an alt just for that when I want to do some CS-style incognito casual PvP

AH trading(so) it's here if you want it

tome unlocks...(hard to do if you're RvR like everybody says you should)

who is everybody? the devs certainly aren't

All of those activities are easily accessible and rewarding. I don't really see what's this "siege the keep until you die" notion. It is ridiculous even saying it. Are you sure you're not talking about some other game?

Your remark about keep sieging being instanced reveals you as being a sordid troll who obviously hasn't even played the game.... or made an effort to actually get informed about it. Good bye and good riddance.

It's fun when it happens, but unfortunatly Mythic prefers people to be afk in Scenarios. Once there is a reason for people to do sieges and there is a big shift away from scenarios then this game will shine. Until that happens this is just another grindfest MMO.

Grindfest??????  lvl 40 in 2 weeks is a grind now is it lol....  please.. shoot me

It isn't to hard to level to max in most games in a few weeks.  It all boils down to how entertaining and rewarding the journey is.

Some people define grind by the amount of experience awarded doing tasks in game [scenarios, quests, pvp, etc].  Others define it by the amount of time needed to reach a goal.   You may not think leveling to max in 2 weeks is grinding, but for me that would be a total grindfest where gaining the most amount of experience per activity was more important than enjoying the game.  I'm not looking down on your acheivement at all.   In fact that is most likely what I will do when I get a character or two to max level.

I've played games were it tooks many months to reach end game and never felt like I was grinding.  The reverse is true where I felt the entire game was a grind.

So far Warhammer is falling somewhere in between that.  Quests in the world just do not offer enough reward for their time.  At my current level I estimate it will take me somewhere around 35-50 PvE quests to reach a new level.   If the quests were entertaining it wouldn't bother me, but they are pretty bland most of the time.  I enjoy scenarios very much and they reward far more than questing, so win win for me here.   Not much to comment on from public quests and world pvp as there isn't much going on in that department.

Mythic prefers people to be afk in scenarios? Hahaha! Read the patchnotes for today. A player can no longer get xp and renown while in the loading zone. A player in a loading zone more than 2 minutes will be automaticly ejected form the scenario. Kinda blows your theory right out of the water huh.

Level 40 in 2 weeks? ok..lets say you are lvl 40. How good is your renown rank? I would say prolly single digits. Did you know that the best gear in the game cannot be worn until youre a certain renown rank? Did you know you earn points to making your character better with a higher renown rank? Go pvp at lvl 40 with a low renown ranking and you will get steamrolled. Please learn to play before posting about something you know nothing about.

Yeah I sorta chuckled at that one, too.

"I had a fun experience in the game, therefor it is the best game, of any genre, period".

Imagine if that were the industry-wide standard of a successful game?

And you thought the music industry was rife with one-trick ponies?

By the by, aside from the pouring of oil, Lineage 2 has had large scale sieges with siege weapons, archers on walls and sometimes 200+ players fighting it out on the battlefield for a few years now.

I understand the excitement of doing it for the first time, but like others have said... After a while it becomes routine and the only real excitement is in the dynamics of the fight or, as in L2 where there are no pre-defined factions, the inter-clan/alliance politics surrounding castle sieges.

To the OP, I'm sure you'll argue WAR still beats L2 hands down because, well.. you've pretty much already said it. That's subjective at best. Point is, it's not exactly anything new.

I'm really looking forward to more open RvR action. It's the thing that really won me over during the Closed Beta. While scenarios are fun, they aren't open RvR :)

If it was that easy, everyone would do it.

I agree, I love this game. Chaos Waste is the best in my opinion. Just too damn fun to play anything else.
