I just had the best experience i have ever experienced in any game...ever! we had a 24 man warband. we raided a keep and it was heavily guarded. we fought for a whole hour trying to get into the keep. it was the t3 elven keep its freakin huge. there were order on the wall pouring down hot oil to defend it, and archers at the top of the keep wall nailling us. the oil destroyed are battering ram. we sat up siege weapons and was taking them out from below with cannons and catapults. we finally got in the door after 30 minutes of hard work. then the order clogged the corridor and held us.  they were successful, we couldn't do it after a 1 hour furious battle. it was nuts!!! i have never experienced something so complex and rewarding in any game i have ever played. i would have to say by far this is the best gaming experience i have ever had. i feel sorry for the people who gave up on the game and will never experience what i just did. no game period can touch war, no genre. and as far as mmos everything else is a horrible joke in comparision. i never knew the game was this good until today and i have been playing since launch. glad i stuck around to find out the true meaning and gut of warhammer. cant wait till i get to tier 4  i imagine it only gets crazier!

EDIT:
Remember people this is my OPINION. This is my greatest gaming experience. If you have had others (which im sure you do) thats great. No need for anyone to get mad because some of us actually enjoy the game. no need start a flame wars and comparisions. I just thought a might share my war scenario.

troll or not, you wont experience this in WOW, LOTRO, AOC, EQ2, FFXI, Vanguard or any other of those grindfested heavy PVE based games.im sure the only game that comes close is DAOC, which i never played, but heard of the good RVR. I have played all the above for an extended time, today was the first time i experienced anything like it in any mmo. it was epic.

LOL Machine you are almost the exact rank and renown lvl i am, im 23, RR12(almost 13). I play on Wasteland we have a 400 person guild. 70 were active tonight  we did that keep seige.

The Copper Crown is my guild.  Just wanted to have one.  :)  Its more for fun then for serious play.  I am on a major guild.  My level 26 witch elf is on that one.

Needless to say this game is a blast.  Its fun and thats the main thing.  Its up there in the best games created.  I don't know if it is the best game its definately top 3 or 4 not sure which one it is.  Top 2 MMORPG's.

You all need to level up so we can see what T4 has to offer...

We tired to take Stone something (T4 greenskin/dwarf) tonight but not enough T4 players to do it.

Its really not that hard...

I've got a level 40 Marauder (RR18) and a level 35 Magus(RR27) already.

Go ahead and tell me I need to get outside, I know I do. Still, it really isn't that hard =)

Lol, u crazy?

WAR is not a "siege that keep" game. If you haven't noticed there is a "few" other things to do in this game.

In all my MMO experience I haven't played a game with so many different activities you can switch to and from at almost a moment's notice.

solo questing, public quests - solo for grinders and group for raiders, exploration outside the quest system, scenarios, keep sieging, skirmish RvR, crafting (no really, isn't a blast but you can do it), instanced dungeons (have you found any yet?), guild politics, realm strategy, twinking in T1 without breaking the game, AH trading, tome unlocks...

All of those activities are easily accessible and rewarding. I don't really see what's this "siege the keep until you die" notion. It is ridiculous even saying it. Are you sure you're not talking about some other game?

Yep this is why I quit. The game just got too repetative. I felt board going from city to city going in a straight line doing the quests or PQ or scenarios. Everything was the same just different set up. And the keep at end game may be fun 1 or 2 times, than boooooring. No Replay value.

What the hell MMORPG is it that you guys play where activities are not grind / repetative?  ...and specifically what activities do you do that are not repetative?

RvR has to be one of the most replayable activities in any MMORPG to my knowledge.  So im really confused as to why you'd criticise it for being repetative.  Keep siege at end game boring? Is that the exerience you've had of T4 sieges?  Or are you guessing?

In all my MMO experience I haven't played a game with so many different activities you can switch to and from at almost a moment's notice.

solo questing(same as any other game), public quests(same thing each chapter and tier) - solo for grinders and group for raiders, exploration outside the quest system(ummmmm no), scenarios(same old bg's), keep sieging(isn't this instanced?), skirmish RvR(only remotely fun if you're on a high pop. server), crafting (no really, isn't a blast but you can do it)(the worst crafting i've seen), instanced dungeons (have you found any yet?)(no, but equipment drops are horrible in game anyways), guild politics(seems exciting), realm strategy(coordinated by who? you going to get 30 people to listen lol nope), twinking in T1 without breaking the game(fun?), AH trading(so), tome unlocks...(hard to do if you're RvR like everybody says you should)

All of those activities are easily accessible and rewarding. I don't really see what's this "siege the keep until you die" notion. It is ridiculous even saying it. Are you sure you're not talking about some other game?

I'm criticizing it for being repetative because i think it is. Just like you think it's not. So that's why I am. To your knowledge? lol ok I'm saying sieging WILL GET boring. How many times do you really think you can do it? MMORPG's are supposed to keep you entertained this one won't after a while. So yes same old boring MMORPG's that everybody is bringing out. Nothing new same map in top right corner, same spells at the bottom, press these same buttons for this. All MMORPG's are the same just different ones use different things from each one. Nothing new in this game.

It's fun when it happens, but unfortunatly Mythic prefers people to be afk in Scenarios. Once there is a reason for people to do sieges and there is a big shift away from scenarios then this game will shine. Until that happens this is just another grindfest MMO.

This coming from someone who'd logged more than 700 hours in WoW... and you find WAR repetative?  How do you enjoy playing the same old tired scheme and setup that WoW is?

WAR is refreshing in the fact that there is no "Thottbot" or simple easy solution to win... every players you encounter brings something new and different to the table.  WAR is built on the shoulders of putting people against people, versus NPC's.... how does this get repetative when every encounter is always different?

For arguements sake, how long can you "grind X zone" or "kill X mob" to get <insert uber item here> until you classify that as boring/repetitive?  There will always be some level of repetitiveness.  What dictates if it is fun or not is based on the person.

To the OP:  Warhammer is indeed a good game.  I enjoy it 110%.  However, best game ever?  I will have to totally disagree with that.  The thing that makes it alluring, can also give it problems.  RvR is wonderful.  I love keep sieges.  But beyond that, there isn't anything else.  Once you obtain your keep, you need to grind mobs and such to maintain the gold to maintain the upkeep on the Keep.

I hate it when people say "Best game ever".  Best is a matter of opinion.

this 'change' people are looking for is already happening on mine, and i imagine, many other servers. the destro are slowly chipping away towards altdorf slow slow slow, people are always mumbling about getting ready for war. seems this round we have to let them get to altdorf then fend em off so we get the most out of levelling (small faction imbalance, but not much like some severs have or people claim) then protect our city. but everyone sure is riled up ready for the action when it comes (bloody RUSCorp btw we're fighting) no body wants to see altdorf go down in flames. next round even more will join in. its going to be EPIC
