I'd be more than happy if KOTOR took some of the best elements from PRE-CU SWG & WOW. For example:

Pre-CU SWG:

Lots of classes, and professions.

Jedi, but extremely hard, and rare to get.

Player run economy.

Superb crafting.

Non-instanced player housing, and cities

WOW:

Large open, seemless world

Elelments of a themepark, ie the odd instance.

Great art direction and good performance

Great openworld PvP (Before BC)

Talent trees

"Where are the rest of the village people fairy boy?" - Godslayer Caine

I want NO part of WoW in this game.  At all.  Nothing.  Zip.  I can't even think of one thing I want from WoW.  ESPECIALLY not talent trees.

And SWG's world > WoW's world in my opinion.

Edit: But don't worry, seeing as where the MMO industry goes now-a-days, I'm sure you will get what you ask for.

I might have gotten it wrong, but I got the impression that everyone wants jedi's, LA tried to give that in SWG and it backfired as no one seemed to want them there... So now they are doing a new try at it... This time in a era where jedi's acctually can crowd the street without people chasing after them. :/

addition: well, wow has the fastest paced combat system of the current games, that would be nice to have. ^^

"Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum"

I'd prefer sandbox themed tbh, but im not sure if thats the direction the game is being developed into.

As for the Jedi issue i am a believer that it shouldnt be hard as hell to become one. So long as there are different Skills within the Jedi skill poor to specialize into so that people are different i dont see an issue.

For example:

-Melee oriented Jedi skills (even within melee you have one handed/two-handed/dual wiending)

-Force Oriented etc.

Im sure a large amount of people will prefer to play jedi or what not but if you make the other classes appealing to peple they will be used.

Bounty hunters, Medics, Rouges. Are but a few of classes that are specialized and could serve as a good alternative to Jedis.

One thing i would def wanna see is the ability to travel the galaxy and visit many planets, NOT INSTANCES FFS.

Hmm good points Rehmes. When I think about it, having force sensetive classes might be alot more fun then just jedi's / sith. There are more force users then just the standard glowstick swinging stereotypes.

I wouldn't mind a neutral force using side at all, people walking in the greyzone and not just the standard black and white.

I see where you are coming from.  But for it to be star wars to me, jedi/sith would have to be in it else I won't play it (just like swg).

Simplistic talent tree system doesn't seem like Bioware's style but they may very well go that route.  The closer to the original KOTOR class/skills/feats/attributes the better imo.  It gives much more diversity to classes.

Would not make sense to have jedi be rare.  The whole theme of KOTOR is Jedi vs Sith and light side vs dark side.  I'm not a gambling man but I would bet the bank that jedi will not be rare.  There might be some kind of force sensitive questing system to unlock at lower levels which sounds more like Bioware's style of story writing.

Don't count on many similarities to SWG.  I imagine it will be a completely different game from the original SWG.  Knowing Bioware, it will more than likely be very story-based and class-based.  I wouldn't rule out Bioware adding the ability to multi-class.

No, ofcourse they would be in it, but look at swg now. Lightside jedi = tank, Darkside jedi = dps. If you try and do a mix you will be shitfaced and terrible at everything. I just want to have the option of not bowing for the order or maniac master.

Who knows what it will be like.  But I can see the advantage of not having to make a choice and get a consquence  if the option to do everything is on the table.

What KOTOR online will be:

A mix of WoW and the KOTOR games.

That is all, EA and Bioware are going for the most amount of subs possible, they're not looking to cater to the SWG refugees that have yet to find a
