I Hope the game does well and all as it does have some hard core fans but personally i just don't see it holding my interest long term.I keep looking for that mmo that was everquest when it first came out but that apparently isn't going to happen,that sense of immersion.oh well i guess it's back to wow

yes perhaps this is the place i'm at right now.

im pretty sure 90% of people who complain about the current mmo and say that they  are looking fot another eq have actually never played eq and are just trying to look like hard-core mmorpg vets.

nethrill has cancelled his subscription to WAR? Why am I just finding this out now? I had signed up for email notification of all decisions made by nethrill... somebody has seriously dropped the ball here.

Ok - I gotta go cancel my WAR subscription too. I'll see you guys back in WoW - where nethrill and I will be. Yep - just the two of us, kickin it old school and drinkin the Blizzard kool aid.

Me too. I've felt nothing but disappointment for the last 3 years with MMOs...I think I'll probably be done with this genre until/unless something truly different comes along. WAR has promise but the population imbalance is quickly ruining the experience for me.

ahh ok...so you might have used the word immersion incorrectly and i misunderstood, my apologies. And i know how you feel. I loved SWG and all it had to offer, love WAR, just not as much. And when a new star wars mmorpg comes out, i will be the first to jump off the war ship lol

Nothing will ever compete with your first MMORPG experience, so just let it go.. because I assure you there is no such thing as a better experience ( this is not the quality of MMORPG's fault, but in the mind ). Perhaps you should be playing Vanguard, I thought that's where all the EQ1 vets went.

If you're going back to WoW from this game then you certainly are not from original EQ.  I'm sorry that's just not the case.

If you're going back to WoW from this game then you certainly are not from original EQ.  I'm sorry that's just not the case.

So you're saying that original EQ players would play WAR instead?  I'm going to say sorry but that just doesn't seem reasonable to me.

I agree, WAR is like Guild Wars plus, not a more EQ-like, sandboxy game when compared to WoW. I will continue playing, as I love the PvP.

Well you can always hope that the new  Bioware MMORPG being announced on Oct. 21st doesnt suck!

Bioware is by far my favorite Co. in the video game industry right now, ive never been dissapointed by any game released by them, ever. Hopefully their venture into the dangerous waters of the MMO industry doesnt prove too daunting a task.
