They should spy Blizzard, and try to steal their technologie cause when in comes to MMOs, only WoW feels fluid, stable and fun to play. |

lol! Can we please hold off the 'epic fail' claims until after the 21st? You know, just wait until we atleast get the info. * Life is not black or white, it's shades of grey. Well when the 21st comes and it is official it will be a great day for us Star Wars fans that were such diehard fans of SWG in the beginning before the game was shredded by NGE. I really hope they go with the KOTOR timeperiod. I have anyways thought the timeperiod they chose for SWG was the worst possible one they could have gone with. KOTOR will allow Jedi to roam freely and the Sith.....well we all know where that rabbit hole leads |

i agree....alpha classes and jedi should never be player controlled characters. Unless you have a limit or high penalty for being one. I am more of a post ep6 fan....hand of thrawn era would be great :D

I'm just going on what I see across various game sites and there own. Some of the KOTOR fans are not happy about it being an MMO, though I assume some will be converts once they try it. |

I think most BioWare fans are/would be angry if the MMO would be made -INSTEAD- of a part three to wrap up the story that has been told in the KOTOR games. The question remains however if that will be the case. Nobody knows for certain after all. There could be a singleplayer KOTOR as well as an MMO set in the Old Republic timeframe.
Bottom line, I suppose we'll have to wait till the 21st. One should hope a lot of answers will be given then. |

Oh, I definitely agree that there are forums out there that are full of angry KOTOR fans that are pissed as hell that they might not get another single player game. I believe them to be a minority, however. |

The way I see it--the number of players unwilling to take a look at an MMO KOTOR are probably about the same as the number of players unwilling to take a look at it if it isn't a sandbox. In other words, not that many. |

While this is true, it is actually pretty easy to hazard sme guesses at what kind of game this will be. BioWare has certain strong points, and they would be fools not to follow up on those. They are excellent story-tellers and they have already told the media that they are not looking to make a world-simulator.
*shrugs* Some people won't like that. For me, it'll be interesting to follow and see if they can manage to actually keep their excellent level of storytelling in an MMO. That coupled with player-choices that affect the story and the character itself is what I am looking forward to. |

I would love to see a scan of the press release sent out to the press. Anyone find anything like that? |

Maybe so, but I bet it had something to do with getting the big name MMO's of the year out of the way first. You've got AoC now Live, and it was... well... it needs a lot of work. And now WAR is out, and it has turned out to be a WoW clone with heavier and more pronounced PvP. WotLK is it's only competition in "anticipation" now, but it's just more of the same from Blizzard, so it's hardly as exciting as a new MMO. I hope it's a new Star Wars MMO. How great would that be? |

Heh, it would be pretty funny if it turned out to be a Willow MMORPG. http://my.lotro.com/character/landroval/galadthryth/ |

And so it is, according to the EA CEO. http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/starwarsgalaxiesaned/news.html?sid=6194664 - Who watches the watchmen? |

We'll see. Hope it turns out to be what you want in a game. I'll pass though, not my style. I just find it funny that the game has not been officially announced and no specs released yet some people have already condemned it. |

I do not remember where I read it,but I remember a statement that they were making a Kotor 3 yes,but not a Kotor MMO. Now I have read alot of speculation on a Star Wars mmo based on The Clone Wars. Now that a TV series is beginning on The Clone Wars my best guess is they are working on a title similar to the TV series. Most likly a game with similar Graphics engine as the TV show which Blows. A TV show or Movie with those animated graphics is not all that impressive. But a game with animation and art design like that would be pretty awesome if you ask me. And... for the record.... I kind of dig the art design for a TV show. it's sort of a CG equivilent of the former Clone Wars series. |
