After re-watching the awesome trailer, I got to thinking can my pc run this? Or more to the point, will it run it on even medium settings with the amount of polygons being splashed around the screen, as seen in the vid? I'm running with amd 6000 dual core/8600 nvidia card and 3 gig memeory, frankly I'm in doubt it'll handle the game. Any thoughts/speculation on this? |

I hope it will be built like wow, graphically that is. Low end rigs could play wow very well. I dont ncessarily want the game to look like wow, i just want it to run like wow does on my comp. |

Well, you might need to upgrade your videocard, the 8600 is a bit slow. If it have good cooling you can probably just clock it like an 8800 and do fine. Fortunatley the thing that do most of the work in any new game is the GFX card and it is easy to get a new one and usually not that expensive. Even if they ran the video on a really old card you can count that you want to have a faster card at launch, there are a lot of new features in GFX cards since the 6000 series. I just changed from 8800 to 280 GTX and it is a really big difference there too. Everything depends on how modern the DF game engine is anyways, the more modern features and options it got the more you want to upgrade your GFX card. |

My system is about the same, apparently the specs are much lower but I have trouble imagining that so I'll be upgrading. I might get one of these as well www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-Nostromo-SpeedPad-Directional-Throttle/dp/B0000DC643. |

One of the awesome things about DF is that you can run it on an average or lower end system. |
