MMORPG.com's Joe Iuliani recently asked ten questions of the team over at Earthrise to help us find out a little bit mroe about the upcoming sci-fi MMORPG.

How will PVP be handled in Earthrise, will it be open world or zoned PVP?

Earthrise:

 

Most of Earthrise's PvP will be held in open world environment. We are strong believers that a persistent, dynamic world such as Enterra is best suited for unrestricted, natural PvP combat - from one on one struggles to mass combat siege battles.

 I've read Q&A and I like it a lot.   People have very different ideas about their prefered playstyles and types of MMO's, Earthrise is my kind of game.   Bring it on!

I have been excited about this game since it was first announced, and this Q&A just confirms that the devs are working on something truly intriguing.  Very much looking forward to it.

After reading the Q&A I remain curious about the game. Gonna look forward to see how development goes and how things are implemented. The off-line cash earning thing seems like a nice idea for casuals, albeit could be exploited, I suppose.

Anyway, keep the info coming.

They didnt go into much detail about the caracter customization. I hope there is a bit more to it than just picking a set face that everyone will have. There is alot to this game and i have high hopes for it. i hope im not let down,

Hearing that you are able to actually create a different body style with your character and it seems that the game will balance out PVP and PVE for everyone sounds great can't wait to hear more.  

Almost too good to be true. Funny how often that is actually the case with mmorpg's.

This game looks absolutely amazing. I really hope the devs can come through on it. This game has the most promise of any upcoming MMO out there.

While I'm interested In this game I learnt my lesson with games like TR and AoC.

I refuse to over hype any game and wont ever expect a game to be perfect on release.

Hell I may wait til the games been out 3+ months for the devs to Iron the wrinkles out before I try it.

while most of the responses were kinda "meh" - - -  the crafting sounds quite interesting  - so interesting in fact i'd be willing to go on my first raid ever - not something i ever thought before -  i'm ready to play - but...........

when the game gets close to release how many times are we gonna hear - "well, that won't be in at release but blah blah blah"

I am very interested in this game, but what I wonder if they have the technical know-how to do an MMO right. They could pull a CCP or a Funcom and take 3 years after launch to make their game playable. There have been a lot of great game developers (Croteam, People Can Fly, and the STALKER guys come to mind) to come out of the eastern european/former soviet bloc countries though so who knows.

I don't know about anyone else, but this interview made the game sound very generic. For the most part, everything is the same as other MMO's. Maybe crafting will be a bit better.

I hope the gameplay is very fun and all of this works out, and they don't rely on those hefty graphics to get them by.

How in the world does a skill based system with deep crafting and open PvP sound like ANY other game out there right now?(Besides Eve) Now if they said "Were having a level based, best items are looted, linear fantasy game with pointless crafting" then yes, it would be incredibly generic. Honestly do you people even read stuff before you post?

Out of all the games on the horizon, I think I'm looking forward to this the most.
