If you've ever wanted to watch Richard Garriott's get shot into space (for his trip to the International Space Station, of course), you can watch live video streams of the launch, or if you'll be in the Austin area you can attend the launch party.

Interested in watching Richard Garriott's historic journey into space in the early hours of Sunday, October 12? Now you will have multiple opportunities, both at a space launch party in Austin and across the Internet via a variety of live video streams.

If you're going to be up and around in Austin Saturday night into Sunday morning, the space watch party will be held at Opal Divine's Penn Field restaurant on 3601 S. Congress Avenue. The festivities start with live music by The Echo Vine at 11PM, with pre-launch activities starting at 12:30AM and the launch scheduled for 2AM local time. You must be 21 or over to attend.

My largest concern is that the gravity from his immense ego might cause tidal waves around the planet.

I'd like to see him shot into space, it's the bringing him back I could live without.

I have nothing for this $hit bag...I spent $75 on the collectors because I thought I was getting some polished fps/rp mmo....What I got was drink coaster...

He took alot of peoples money to fund this stupid a$$ trip, and I personally hope he goes bankrupt and is working fast food for the rest  of his life when he gets back to earth..

*Throws up the MIDDLE finger at LORD (can not say)* Ride that into outerspace..

Well I'm not going to jump on the trendy, melodramatic Garriott-bashing train... Seriously, you douchebags need to get over Tabula Rasa. So you didn't like it... big effing deal.

I'll be watching the blast off, for sure. I can't even imagine how exciting that must be... I wish I had the money to do it myself!

I wish you had the money to do it as well.

But being that you’re so ignorant of how to communicate with other people, it would have to be one of those monkey space tests.

Will he be inviting his ruined investors, the employees he's laid off, or his cruelly disappointed fans?  Well, I hear he serves expensive booze and hires great  entertainers, whether they stick around to actually watch the clown being shot out of the cannon or not, they'll get a good party.

Oh, the third quarter NcSoft financial reports will be released the week he's in space.
