It's kinda sad to see gold sellers in game. I guess it's unavoidable in any MMORPG for gold spammers. Although we can petition GMs to ban them, but they will just be making new accounts to spam their gold. These gold sellers imbalance the economy by making early gold available to beginners. Plus the spam is annoying! I say we ask GMs to put a limit to global chat - maybe level 10, so gold spammers will actually have to level before using it.

Pain is temporary. Glory is forever.

Could Atlantica Online have that sort of trouble in the near future? Damn.

The world is full of music.

It is a tragic fact in all F2P MMOs. I mean even in P2P it just doesn't feel right. I do hope these gold spammers get banned. And I agree with the plan to make global chatting accessible only after a certain level.

baby girl, twist away..

yea. atlantica online sure has some gold spammers too. i think it's a good idea that a character has to reach a certain level before they could use chat. or maybe, they could program their servers in such a way that when the same data is sent, the account would freeze for a certain amount of time. or something like that.

I noticed that most of the gold sellers sell their gold at the tutorial area. I guess it's kind of a hassle to keep on creating new accounts and making them pass the newbie test. These guys are persistent though, especially since they can easily create more accounts with F2P. I even recieved offers from the mail.

Personally, I'm really surprised that game companies haven't gotten smarter about how to stop Gold Sellers.

If I had a good game, and, I wanted to cut off gold Sellers, I'd specifically find the names of these GSs and then call the accounting firm, and, having thier CCs cutoff, the more they try getting passed by different CCs, then, I'd cutoff thier CCs even more.

If companies see that those paticular CCs, or, several CCs from one small company have been suddenly cut off, then, they'll stop them also. A red Flag of GSs getting royally banned, would have others thinking that game companies are finally getting serious about the GS problems

And because nothing like that happens, I'm starting to think that this is all part of a conspiracy. Nah, That was a joke. Personally, I don't think the accounting firm can do that without laws to back them up. Gold selling is against game policy, not against the law. I know ppl (freelancers) who had some banned accounts due to selling items, but neither of them paid for damages nor went to prison.

True, still, many companies claim they are trying, but, more and more Gold Sellers appear from no where.

Heck, I even got mad at one GM in Eve, and, got nasty and outrightly accused him of being part of a Gold Seller chain, and, shortly after that, it seemed several Gold Sellers disappeared, but, less then a week later, about 50 new isk sellers appeared :(
