That isn't PvP, that is just killing another monster. Big whoop. In fact, it's safer than fighting monsters, because you don't lose shit if you die... Theres gonna be ALOT of level 10's running out of lumby just to get smashed again. and again. and again. and again. whoo, how fun. The higher levels probably won't fight eachother at all, knowing that it'll be a huge waste of resources for very little actual money. Being a level 126 who has quit myself, I know I wouldn't fight anyone unless they attacked me first.

-Player kills (at least try to kill) another player. so this is not pvp to you (pvp = player vs player).

2. In fact, it's safer than fighting monsters, because you don't lose shit if you die
-Swing and the miss. Jagex said in update news "High danger with items dropped on death." So you'll lose your items on death, but enemy won't get them.

Soo basically you can't get the good drops we used to for fighting pvp anymore. There is no way for me to get in one drop: full ahrims,whip, Dds,  kahrils top, torags legs, a butload of barrage runes, d boltz and a cross bow from one kill anymore? Well why don't we just fight boring monsters instead? The risk will not be worth the reward.   I would rather the guy that had the balls to kill me at least get my stuff, or I take his than the game randomly giving me something I don't get to pick. I at least could pick what I wanted by determining who I was going to kill before I fought them.   Stripping player freedoms, then giving back a tiny portion of them is not a game improvement, it is a sad attempt at customer service.

I am also wondering how they are going to keep people from respawn point camping if the pvp worlds are all pvp everywhere..  so all I would have to do is sit at respawn point and kill everyone who shows up there over and over?  I am trying to see the purpose of making the entire world pvp everywhere if the only places anyone is ever able to go is respawn point because of clans camping on the tele points and respawn areas.

Oh Jagex, if you were my girlfriend , I would have broke up ages ago. Anyways, about the PvP that's coming up. They said that when you kill a player, you don't get what the player drops but you get a certain equivalent. This equivalent was equal to a monster you killed of similar level to the player you killed. Now, at first it seems good, excellent and such. But if you look at the bottom, its all rotten. You may say: "so what? wtf gtfo of my post, go cry somewhere else. At least PvP is coming back. Congratz Jagex!". I say,   I don't care, do what you want, your actions will determine what you are, and your morals. Now, back to the topic...Why is this update doomed? Basically because of this simple rule:

"what we see is what we want; NOT ; what we don't see is what we want." In simplified terms, it basically means:"We don't want monster drops, we want player drops."....etc..

This simple rule, if applied to a PvP system would result in= excitement, element of surprise, preservation of fun, long term addiction(in the good sense), and a more mature, free, and vigilance.

For MONTHS , Jagex has been making numerous PvP areas such as BH ,FoG, CW, etc..yet all of them fail to understand the basic rule.

Now they are to reapeat the same error again whilst trying to hide it by including quotes from the old days such as: "As many of our long term players know, in the old RuneScape Classic days you could actually fight players just outside the gates of Lumbridge, before the days of duelling and even before the days of the old Wilderness itself. Players could hunt each other down, chasing them away from favourite resource points and generally "owning" large areas of the map." omg, they try to win the favor of the old time pkers? lmao....... Its a kid's game anyway. I hope more people will be enlightened by what "time and effort" is all about and how mistakes by Jagex can affect our lives, past, present and future.

I honestly don’t know why people are so excited for this update since the whole point of pking in runescape was to loot kills, their is no point in making them drop monster drops.

I honestly don’t know why people are so excited for this update since the whole point of pking in runescape was to loot kills, their is no point in making them drop monster drops.

Well they gave this update a one-two punch to make sure it failed before they even released it.

1. No player item drops. The drops they give will be in the thousands or less, and with Jagex's history, the PvP items will probably have total garbage stats that a level 30 wouldn't want.

2. You lose your items, which could amount to millions. 

It's about as fun as telling the IRS you lied on 50 years of taxes. Lol.

I played RS about 2 years. I hope they make PvP back to normal when it was.And i hope the trade system changes.Anyway now RS sux ,but maybe someday u can play it.

Don’t hold your breath, unless they sell the game to a different company the game will keep getting worse.
