They are very similar because the art design for WoW has some Warhammer influences. I would say the graphics are similiar to if WoW was released today. The Warhammer models seem to have a bit more feeling of surface, but yes there are similarities.

I agree but I don't think you need to feel like you are in a world with warhammer. It seems it's more about fighting scenarios (and I mean big picture that includes rvr). It's not trying to give you the LOTRO feel. I seriously believe that conan had more problems but there are some similar issues.

Well, I think LOTRO is a different game. Also by the way you say this it seems you don't really like LOTRO. I personally do so I think neither is better just different. I do think LOTRO is more polished.

The Armor all looks the same at most levels and even at higher levels it all looks close and the bugs are worse at the higher levels. I have no reason to just hate this game in fact the opposite I really wanted this game to be good. I bought it and paid for 60 days. I posted a negative review when I was about level 10 and I thought maybe it wasnt fair to do that so early so I went on to level 40 and I feel the same. This game is a huge dissapointment.

I think part of that is that the game is based upon the tabletop game and of course there are going to be similarities as they designs come from the small lead figures. It's possible that there will be some more deviations added later on.

 

Also, I can't imagine how you only played the game as much as you did and didn't go to work or do much of anything else. Just don't get fired!!!

This is the response I was hoping for and should see on this forum your counters make perfect sense and as the weeks go by I will keep all of that in  mind . I was on a vacation for a month so dont worry lol.

Yea, The character real name has been cover with black ink. Even worse is the fonts on the dialog box. Very bad handwork.

This is just funny. Why are people so intent on proving his picture is a fake? Are they afraid that if he is legit that the things he is saying might have some credence? I have always marveled at how people try and prove that someones OPINION is wrong. The word 'opinion' simply means "a personal view, attitude or appraisal". I believe he has proved that he is level 40.

There is no argument that he raced to 40 and probably missed out on some things. As it stands, it is still his own opinion. No one is asking anyone else to subscribe to his opinion. The forums are a place to communicate and he has communicated his opinion. Go away if you dislike his opinion. If anything, all the people that are trying to prove he is a fake are in fact the trolls. Of course this is all my opinion...

Well, I think they are some very valid points or at least points that needed comment.

I think it's ok for players to have issues with any game. Even hate a game and for whatever reason they want. But I also feel that one has to state their reasons in a reasonable way.

I think you did.

Ha so you spent an insane amount of time playing the game nonstop and reached 40 before most other people and now you are bored....hmmmm. Big surprise.

I put a little black paint on the chat box to hide my name. I agree comparing to WOW is not fair it is just that I really want a game to come along and get me out of WOW and give me something better. I really thought this was it andI am not stopping yet I hope it get better when the bugs are fixed and more people are at 40.

OP played a game for like 15+ hours a day to max level so he could tell us that he didn't like it; something he knew 30 levels ago.  I eat boiled cabage all the time, usually barf it all up a few seconds later, but damned if I dont naw on that stuff by the shovel load!  Yeah, it tastes like crap, but I still do it!  Colonoscopy every two days ftw.

Congrats, you sped through the game and got level 40 before the masses. "The armor all looks the same at most levels and even at higher levels it all looks close."   Really?  I find that statement interesting...since every few levels my gear changes and my character looks different. I am not sure I beleive that your 40 yet, as only a certain many have made it that high...and the ones that have stated that their armor looks very well detailed.  So if you want to post screen shots and actually show me some proof that would be awesome.

There are more lvl 40s then you think there are and I have lready proven I am level 40. By the armor looking the same I dont mean at lvl 40 you look like a lvl 10 lol I mean all level10s of the same career look the same or close.

It will probably get much better, considering my experiance from DAOC anyway...however what are the chances that you are really going to experiance that OP? You are quitting with your obvious distaste for the game right? Well then how are you planning to experiance Warhammers Open RVR if your sub ends?

My gnome mage looked the same as every other gnome mage wearing PvP gear.

WoW had a lot of dif. stuff to pick  while levelling, wich I either DE'd or sold on AH, and if you just rushed through it you wouldn't care anyways.  As an enchanter you can spend a lot of money buying up other peoples useless greens to DE, and I get more green drops in WAR then I can salvage.  Whether or not that gear looks dif. from other gear I couldn't say, I don't wear any of it.  I do know that I can identify who the healers are, the tanks, the melee dps, etc. etc. because I can identify what class I'm fighting through there gear.  I know that if there was a dozen variations of gear within each tier I would have one hell of a time figuring out who is who; especially when you have spell effects for others turned off during a seige. 

At the cap there wasn't very much to choose from within the first year.  At first you only had your blue set, then eventually the T1 sets got added, then as the year unfold you got something like 7? 

My 49 warlock twink had the same gear as every other warlock twink, and a lot that weren't twinks or warlocks. 

you can get drops that look dif. then what you get from the influence vendor, and that gear looks dif. from the gear you get from the renown trainer.  The only thing that makes robes in WoW look dif. is the texture, and you can't change the colors on your armor in WoW; you can in WAR, kind of like painting your own Warhammer miniature. 

If I'm doing PvE I'm doing PQ's and I'm going to wear the inf. gear.  If I'm doing RvR I'm going to wear the renown gear.  I don't see this as being any dif then end game WoW were you were the same gear as everyone in your class if you raid or PvP.

People should keep something in mind.  
If WoW was the perfect little MMO, 100% of the content would be available to 100% of the playerbase; that would mean that every single character at the level cap, wthin each class, would be wearing the exact same thing.    

I guess it's just not a big deal to me. 
You should like, get out or something.  I don't mean to critisize or anything, but playing games for that many hours a day isn't healthy.  It's really not good on the joints to play with a mouse and keyboard that long; you could end up regretting it after awhile.

well i guess mine problem is that i dont rush to a 40 like i do in WOW with alts. I actually enjoy every lvl, and i like to be lowby with everyone. In such games there is no point to rush to Max lvl. You depend from ather players in WAR , as they from you.

Ironically this was the EXACT SAME RESPONSE to people that quick leveled in WoW.  In fact back then there wasnt even a MC so people that were maxed out were really really really bored.  Yea, this game is far from polished.  There are alot of aspects I find incredibly irritating also (poor crafting system, horrid mob and player v-axis, lack of original weapons, at least so far, piss poor optimization/performance for what the graphics are).  Do I find WoW more enjoyable though?  Nah, im pretty burned out on WoW.  I find the char customization to be a bit better than WoW also.  Yet each to his own, if you dont like it you dont like it.  I'm betting you dont have enough peers to really enjoy the end game content though.

If you're 40 right now then there is something wrong with you. Not because you levelled fast but because you're judging a PvP game based on the state where there is no one to around to fight.

You know, COD4 sucks major ass because when I log in into an empty server all I got to do is walk around and shoot cars to see them blow up. Total fail.

If you're level 40 already, you've missed 3/4 of the game rushing to the cap. 

Sorry, but your thoughts on WAR are about as meaningful as a level 10 player.

ok I admit I rushed through it a bit but I did alot and saw alot I have over 4000 rvr kills

Deadmoney dotn pay any attention, you think the game sucks, many peopel agree, but to the fanboys you must be lying or wuteva cuz they dont comprehend not liking this empty shell of a game

it is easy if you wanna prove it. Go in-game, press K, go achievements tab. Screenshot the 4000 rvr kills or whatever and upload it here. of course, the picture MUST include your name, rank, and renown rank.

because NO ONE here is gonna believe you, not matter what you do, without proof
