Hi dudes,

I'm playing AoC at the moment and although i'm enjoying playing i can't help wonder what Warhammer is like ?

The only problem with AoC is the seems tobe a lack of players on my server, due to imo early release and alot of bugs alot of people have left, even though i think the grapics and combat system is at the highest quality.

So while the game has a low comunity on my server i was wondering if War was worth a go ?

I do belive that AoC will survive it has the WoW factor.

I would say warhammer is worth playing. The pve ain't the best but if you're into pvp I would say at least give it a try. I enjoyed age of conan and it had so much potential, but funcom are totally useless.

He's dead Jim.

Well you probably must still be in Tortage?  Savor those first 20 levels.  Once you get off newb island it's all down hill from there.

Probably should start looking for another game as the AOC juice will run dry for you soon enough.

Warhammer has a WoW factor alright.  It's so similar to Warcraft I was having WoW flashbacks.

Personally I hated the animations and graphics.  They look extremely dated to me...  Everyone looks alike and walk as if they recently participated in a jailhouse gangbang.

What they have going for them is it's relatively low on bugs and a huge cult following due to the tabletop miniatures.  Really the game is for the diehard Warhammer fans.  Many people will try it though because they haven't bastardized their name among the gaming community.  Some will stay but many more will most likely leave for greener fields.

Sucks but is still far superior to AOC.  It's WoW without 4 years of polish.

Wait for free trials or request a buddy key on the War forums.  That's honestly the only way to know for yourself.  Everyone's opinion really is a grain of salt when it comes to games.

i would wait for free trials. so you dont spend $50 and end up regretting it. i played the beta and just wasnt into it. but thats how i feel yours may be different. but id definitely recommend, wait for the trials, give it a try, if u like it, buy it.

there are three types of players you need to decide who you are...

if you want high intensity pvp, with some new inovative ideas (public quests tomes of knowledge new guild systems) and tolarable pve then go for warhammer

if you want outstanding pve with shitty pvp and ppractically no innovation then go WoW

if you want good graphics and combat with tolarable pve and pvp but not good in either catagory and low population then go AoC

i like pvp ALOT so im going warhammer the only game in the forseeable future that could break me of it is darkfall with the super hardcore pvp

Quoted for truth.

Playing the open beta I really didn't like warhammer but after rolling a WH and leveling to 20 I must say, It's really grown on me. Some of my friends love it, some hate it. It's hardly innovative or massively original but who cares if it's fun?

WarHammer and AoC are so far different that they are not even comparable. War is definitly fun, but whether it has the staying appeal of WoW remains to be seen. You have to try it and judge for yourself.

As for AoC, most people didn't leave due to bugs. In fact, IMO, while I certainly encountered my share of bugs in AoC, I would say that it had about the normal number of bugs for a new game. No, people left AoC because the game simply sucks. Tortage is a weak single-player RPG, semi-fun the first go-around, but the game only gets worse from there.

WoW, you must be some "phycho" type of person who can predict what lvl is the guy in AoC, who ,by the way, asks about Warhammer, and yet you start to bash AoC,in the first sentence in your post.

What Funcom did to you, that you hate him so bad? Maybe killed your mother , or something?

The guy clearly said, he likes AoC, he likes THE WAY IT IS. If you are trying to reach a proper debate you would respect his words, and focus your opinion on something he asked for.

..and that wasnt "how do you like AoC" but he asked about WAR....Therefore, i think the first 2 sentences in the post were sufficite..and WAR opinion only would have been enough.

At this stage of your opinion, you say WAR sucks,AoC sucks even more, and WoW it became Ancient.

So may i ask, whats good enough for you? Or you are one of the regular "complainers" ,which he never seems to be happy with anything...?

Hi I am a true AoC-WAR hybrid. I was playing in AoC and was thoroughly annoyed with performance in that game and therefore bought WAR. Playing WAR though performance was worse as well as I crashed to desktop occationally. The killer for me however was those rubberband laggs. I put it on the shelf for later and I am now back in AoC. Since you play AoC you probably know that their last patch fixed many issues, which is basically the reason for me being content right now. My rig run AoC on higher FPS than WAR. I would therefore say postpone WAR for 2-3 months till they have sorted out some of their worst issues.
