I will re-subcribe if....

1. Servers are merged (I will not level another character and my account is on Scourge)

 This alone would make me try the game again at least for a month. There is no way I will pay $15 to play a multiplayer game with 3 people.

2. ... the temple of Gaute is constructed, and it's siegeable.

3. I get a free month.  :)

  There's really not too much stopping me from playing right now. If you've read my review you may think I hate this game, but I just hated the direction, hype, and ego. The next few months will probably decide how well this game will fair. If they reclaim more players early their outlook will be much better long term.

I unfortunately won't come back no matter what this company displayed attitudes towards their customer base that I can't accept personally but for the fun of it I'll make a list of what I think needs to be fixed anyway.

1)Production on any other future mmo should be stopped as well as any expansion if they still are going to bring out AOC on 360 I can see resources being put there but as it stands this game should be fast tracked to have most technical problems eliminated by mid october as well as having content out by late oct in my opinion, they have asked players to play with non existant or broken content for far too long.

2)Players should certainly recieve one free month as well as a campaign offering former players a free month of play providing that there is content and bugs are worked out.

3)Stop worrying about perception to a fault, Funcom if you are concerned over everyone elses concerns at the expense of your current player base you can only lose too many mmos have tried it and none have succeeded.

I will re-subscribe when Hell freezes over.

This game is impossible to fix, no matter how much content they add it's still the same broken core. If they announced Age of Conan was sold to another company, who then announced that the game was shift+deleted and that they were making a new Age of Conan built from scratch, then I would re-subscribe. If you could call it that since it would be a new game which I would happily give a chance.

I was out and about yesterday and I spootted a AoC Time Card in Pc World, so I thought what the heck I want to see if anythings changed and to be fair the performance has increase ten fold the game now runs for me on full settings and is quite smooth.

However I was shocked to see some of the most annoying bugs were still there CTD especially also the game was still freezing up for me at regular intervals. Anyhow I do have 60 days now to check it out a little more and see if things improve.

You see that's part of the deal.  The most obvious.  The most blatant bugs are stepped around by the Fanboys and Funcon like they don't even exist.

Lets just throw out a PVP patch and see if everyone forgets about all the other broken issues and lack of content.

Their other game AO STILL have these same bugs 7 years after the game's release.  You really think they're going to fix them in months for AOC?

Many places they literally COPY & PASTED AO code into AOC bugs and all.  Sometimes they didn't even bother changing text and people in AOC are like WTF is a nanobot????

It's like something year 1 coders would try...  Just baffling.

I don't think many would resub , first impressions mean everything to mmo players.

This is all it would take

1.  Server mergers to where I can see that pvp seiging is really happening on live servers
2. The dev saying the game is 'launch' ready
3.  A free month.

I don't think hardly anyone is going to pay to trust the devs again.  As a longtime MMORPG player, I know that server population means everything.  No matter what the devs did with the game, I would never pay a subscription fee to play an empty server, especially in a pvp/seiging oriented game.  Without at least medium populations, a pvp game becomes a pve game, and WOW is so far ahead in pve, that I'd play that first.

Only two days since my sub runs out but i will re-subscribe only if :

1) Funcom changes its attitude towards the player base and be more honest and transparent.

2) PVP seige REALLY happening.

3) Sever Merges so that i feel i am actually playing a MMO.

4) Less bugs and technical problems. I have played LOTR, Vanguard and now WAR and have no CTD issues and other bugs but AOC is still a pain to run smoothly. (and yes its not my system).

Although i wouldn't mind a free month ;p

Sounds like they hooked a few suckers in lol.. you guys are pathetic for even talking about this.. the game is horrible on all levels of pvp and pve.. Core mechanics are flawed and the combat is utter crap.. No Im not a war or wow fanboi either..

I never bought war since I would be telling companies (if war is successful), that I want a WOW clone ... All those idiots that bought war just told every mmo company out there that wow is fine and we want wow clones bring em on.. You watch the next few games coming out from big mmo makers will be shit with a side order of wow on easy mode... Man, you guys are all a bunch of suckers.. Not just you all in this thread..Im speaking to the noobs who bought war and continue to chirp on how its great etc.. Their wow fanboys who needed new content.. nothing more..

Well, opinions are like assholes everyone has one. It is totally laughable that you can mention AoC and WAR PvE in the same post. I liked WAR but I had too many laggy rubberband experiences too keep playing it, so I put it on the shelf and I am already back in AoC. As the poster above observerved performance has cleaned up a great deal there. I did not get any freeze experiences even though I know there's a few guys getting that.

only because you called WAR to be a wow clone gives you no right to call anyone an idiot. Try harder next time. You made yourself look like an idiot. Those who have played WAR knows its nothing like WOW unless orcs in every mmo automatically makes it wow clone.

But anyways, this is not the right board to discuss it so you can move to WAR forums if you like. Next time inform yourself well before makign absurd claims about things you have no clue about.

I'll have an order of, "I'll think about it if....."

I'll think about it if the game's stability is brought back up to pre-June 9th standards before I started gray-mapping and getting stuck on loading after said gray-mapping before zone change.

Stability would be all that would matter to me at the present time as it is the most paramount from my case.
