Don't let it get to you, everything is blamed on Wow, world hunger, politics, Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Killings, Drive by shootings, Extinction, 2012, the LHC...its the cool thing to do. "The great thing about human language is that it prevents us from sticking to the matter at hand." |

That's the attitude of most of the gaming self-proclaimed elitist "experts" on this site. Hello, WHAT?! I think the Warhammer fanbois have dragged the site down into dimensions of idiocy beyond what I recall ever seeing here before. OMG...don't insult their new toy, or they will come to the WoW threads and insult WoW. Whoopedy doo! ROFL As if insulting the game that someone else enjoys somehow VALIDATES your enjoyment of a different game?? How idiotic is that? Why they don't spend more time PLAYING their precious game and LESS time going "my daddy is better than YOUR daddy" here....I will never know. The most inane thing is...we're arguing about GAMES here. It's not like these discussions have ANY bearing on the course of real life. Get a GRIP, people. Just play what you like and call it a day. Um... This is a gaming site. Of course people are arguing about games. Games are part of real life :O They do affect it. So argue away. |

It's fashionable and cool to hate the topdog. Humanity screwed together like that. Some of the WoW posters here rub the regular posters the wrong way, as they are quite elitist and sitting on their 10m+ high horse. Some people just hate for the sake of hating, while other hate just to bait other people to respond to them. They get some perverse pleasure out of it or something Best thing to do is just to ignore both the fanboys and the haters, allthough it's fun sometimes to argue with them. |

Regular people have sports, we have our "games". It's fun to cheer for your team and everybody loves the underdog, it's just human nature.

I think it's mostly because when you first play WoW, you think the game runs smooth, the graphics are decent, and the gameplay is dead simple. So simple, 12 million monkeys could learn how to play it! After you've played for a while, you think this is pretty repetative, but I know the endgame will rock so I'll keep grinding away and be ready to kick some butt! When you get to the endgame, you realize that the game really is just as simple as it seemed in the newbie village at level 1, but the monsters got bigger, your shoulderpads got bigger, and it's more laggy now. Now that you've slogged through all the content, it's time to sit back and watch while your Epic Pants play the game for you. SOME of us like a little depth to our games. :)

People hate Google, Microsoft, America, Wal-Mart, and WoW. You can be successful, but if you are too successful you attract haters. |

It's possible to challenge yourself even in a game like WoW. For instance I have tried to play two characters at once and do an instance with just the two characters. It's not an easy thing to accomplish if the instance is not grey to you. |

geeze... blizzard has a lot of blood on their hands. "And after blizzard takes over the world, they are gonna gather a bunch of lemmings, sit on their fat asses near a cliff, and watch the little fuzzy bastards suicide dive into the ground below. . . . . all just for their own entertainment." |

Just a question. Has anyone who bashes WoW actually made it to the PvP or Raiding endgame? Just a thought. ------------------------------------------- If you dont like something, make your own. |

The problem with WoW for me is the player base. They are retarded and it shows. If I wanted to hang out with 12 -16 year olds, I would go hang out with my nephews and their friends. I want a challenge and I want to play with people over 20. |

mainly because many players were fans of older mmos and I suppose they would champion a mmo that drew a similar kind of appeal. Along came WoW, however, presented a Mario-like approach to mmos whilst taking many of the design ideas from the other mmos, adding some polish and that drew a lot of attention. Fans of the older mmos are a little bit gutted as perhaps some of the appeals of mmos have been kind of dropped and there hasn't been any real good modern alternative to WoW till perhaps now with WAR and hopefully Tcos. |

Yes, that question is very rhetorical. In fact alot of players from more hardcore games got there probably before alot of the people who defend it started playing. People don't hate WoW, they hate that WoW pretty much killed innovation by giving gamers and easy game and making people expect an easy game. There is no longer 5 other games to take a few elements from and then add alot of your own stuff on top of it. There is just WoW, becasue just a fraction of the WoW playerbase is enough to sustain another MMO for-pretty much-ever... In the end, all you have are a bunch of crappy games. High subscription numbers aren't necessarily indicative of greatness. WoW is just easy, open, accessible, and you can hack it legally with add-ons. Lol Quest Helpers. Lol add-ons that walk you through raid content. Such a joke. |

Also: @Gamewize who asked, "Just a question. Has anyone who bashes WoW actually made it to the PvP or Raiding endgame? Just a thought." Our guild is in BT and Hyjal, we're not huge PvP'ers, but I'd say we "made it to the endgame," and I am still enjoying WoW. Am I in FULL T6 yet? No. However, I don't think even if I WAS I would have run out of things to do. But then again, I have maxed level crafters of every profession other than blacksmithing, which I'm going to work on next, and....our guild is just very active doing things like killing all of the Alliance faction leaders in massive raids on IF, SW, etc.
@CleverLegion who stated, "The problem with WoW for me is the player base. They are retarded and it shows. If I wanted to hang out with 12 -16 year olds, I would go hang out with my nephews and their friends. I want a challenge and I want to play with people over 20." What??!! Okay, I'm 45 years old and everyone in my guild is over 25, most falling into the 30-50 bracket. AND....we're not the only guild on the server like that, by far. I don't think the child to adult ratio in WoW is as profound as people like to overstate it as being. Yes, there are definitely some idiotic children (and adults) that could annoy Mother Theresa (if she were still alive). However.....that is EVERY SINGLE MMO EVER RELEASED. Every game has morons playing it that I don't want to play with. So I don't. It's really not that difficult to avoid people you don't like in a game. I also have to guess, just by the way your statement was worded, that you're probably about 18-21. To ME...YOU are the child that I don't want to play with. :) So guess what? I don't. Annoying children that I run in to in game, very quickly find their way to my ignore list, pure and simple, and I continue to have fun while they go farm their PvP welfare epics (or run their cute little 2 minute arena fights) and sit and whine in trade chat. In my opinion, once you have a few lvl 70s in WoW, the game is really what YOU want it to be. You're free to do pretty much anything you want to at that point. I like playing the AH, for one...I like farming mats to craft high end gear with and....I like SELLING mats to make crap tons of gold that I will then have to take in to the expansion and spend on new shinies that a lot of other people can't afford, because they've been too busy whining. As far as I'm concerned, if you don't like WoW....don't play it. It's one LESS person for me to have to compete with on the AH, and one less whinin' bi*** I have to take the time to block from my chat window.
