With the introduction of Wrath of the Lich King players will allegedly receive XP from PvPing, thus (eventually) being forced out of their PvP brackets. Can anyone confirm this? Feel free to share your thoughts...

 Blizzard never said and doesnt plan on giving exp from PvP. The only thing that could hit twink community - new items that are leveling with character and making lots of alts almost as powerful as twinks

So... is there ANY truth to this or is it simply a rumor that has somehow infested a vast majority of random forums on the 'Net?

Blizzard are never going to add experience to PvP brackets, twinking is a large part of the game to a lot of people. If they were to remove it from the game I think they would lose more money than they would gain from the people who outlevel the brackets anyway.

If a large amount of people started leaving the game specifically because of twinking thats the only time they would think about possibly removing it. I doubt that would ever happen, the main point of this game is 'twinking' your max level character out in better gear to improve its stats.

All twinking at low levels is is twinking a low level charaters stats to the best they can possibly be at that level. No different from high levels, and since it is so easy to get the enchants nowadays it really is not hard to make a twink yourself if you ever wanted to stay in that bracket to PvP.

edit: to answer your question specifically they have said they like twinking and think it is a good part of the game. Hell they even list it under the things to do at max level on their main site, if that is any more indication of their opinion on the matter.

This is a rumor that pops up every time something changes with pvp at all.   Its the same as " Onyxia breaths more".  Its to the point now where is like a running joke for people to say it after every patch.

Low level battlegrounds are a waste unless you are a twink.  Leveling is so fast that any item you buy with honor will be thrown away tomorrow.  The honor you get at low levels is really really small,  you might as well just wait til lvl 50.

Some people play the game solely for the twinking experience. I think Blizzard would have to think it over before removing the possibility of twinks in the game. Or at least add an option where you can turn of experience from battlegrounds.

It's a rumor.  Blizzard thinks twinks are fine.

Well If you DO take the daily PVP quests, you get experience (patch 2.3 guys !!!!!).

I leveled the last 3 levels on my pvp rogue mainly like that/

Daily BG pvp: 12000 experience. Daily open world PvP in Nagrand and Terokkar Forest: 2 x 12000 experience and gold of course. This is possible since Oct 2007.

Plus of course the NPC's you are killing in AV. I also did the Hellfire Towers on almost a daily basis.
Rest were dungeons experience.

So if you want to create a twink: you simply don't accept  the daily pvp (BG and open world) quests no matter what you want to twink (lvl 19,29,69,...)
