I defintely don't think this baby was ready for prime time and god knows they've had enough time to work on it  to get it right.hopefully the dev's are woodshedding like crazy to fix all the inadequacies or they are going to lose more sub's faster than you can say age of conan

They must be really game-breaking if they're going to cause the game to lose a lot of subs.

i'm not talking about performance issues i'm talking about game play,choppy graphics,lack of chat etc.

For an MMO release it's in an incredible state. Think about World of WarCraft, which released in a much, much worse state than WAR did. I think Blizzard are too busy polishing their Ferraris now and have long forgotten those that believed them to be "doomed". Compared to great non-MMO player titles, even WAR seems quite unpolished, of course. But if the OP is someone who's new to the MMO gaming scene, I can totally understand the reaction. It's still a way to go before MMOs will be releasing in as polished a state as "normal" games.

yes its stable.. but at what cost..  if you say servers are high populated you did never play any other mmorpg before.. " full or high " doesnt mean shit.... 100000/100000= full 5/5 = full ..

Ah, I found the problem.  There is chat in-game. It's that box in the bottom left corner. It's a chat box and you can find them in most MMOs.

Hmmm.  I play the game, it works fine (albiet a bit laggy), I see plenty of other people to play with, I jump in and out of scenario queues without a problem, and overall I'm having fun with extremely minimal downtime.  Heck, I even got the game loaded and ready to go in like an hour, updates and all.  It may not be perfect, but it's a solid launch.  OP is a tool.

I am pretty sure the server capacity is 5k per server.  So do tell me, what MMOs out there hold 15,000 people per server?  If I remember right EQ2 holds 8-9k per server and that was a lot of people.

5k people per server doesn't sound very "massive" to me.  But then again I"m not really playing WAR as a mmo.  It's more of an online competitive game to me.  Sometimes I wonder if devs will ever actually make a true mmo again.

No, you're simply trolling, really. But we'll humor you. This was, hands down, one of the best MMO launches that has happened. It has few bugs, remarkably few instability issues server-side, and few instabilities client side. You're speaking in vague generalities with no specifics, and some of what you do mention is simply wrong.

If you have choppy graphics, look to your own computer, not the game. Game play? What's wrong with it? If you don't like it, that's simply personal preference, not something wrong with the game. Lack of chat? I don't find that to be a problem as the servers I've played on have been lively enough without going overboard like the Barrens in WoW.

The bugs that I have experienced are annoying, but by no means game-breaking. I can't seem to set my graphics above 1280X1024 in full screen mode. The chat window resets itself each time I log in. My key mappings reset to defaults everytime I login and I have to set them to default, then set tham back to what I want to fix it. Mobs don't always update sometimes and it gives me 'mob too close', but allows me to fire my arrows anyway.

So either bring something specific or simply crawl back into the hole you came out of.

1. They ran out of money to polish the game further before release.  The next 4 months will be fixing the bugs in the game and then worry about an expansion later.

2. They wanted to release before WOTLK so that people would buy their game.

Over exaggeration with the comment "Age of Conan" subs.

This game has content by any means, I dont see what your trying to get at though.

There are some minors bugs, but nothing compared to past mmo's.

Its simple to anyone, your either play or you dont play, you either stay or move on, how difficult is this.

Actually this isn't true they did not run out of money.  Mythic bragged over and over again they were going to make their MMO in three years and no more than that, WoTLK was just a deciding factor on how much longer they could hold off.  They wanted to prove its possible to make an MMO game within three years instead of the 5 to 6 years that alto of games including AoC and WoW had. 

This is how they sold themselves to EA.   Guess what? They did it...they got the game up and running in 3 years in impressive condition.  Yes there are bugs but what game has ever launched without them?  Yes sometimes theres' stability issues but all games even games years old have these issues.  It happens. 

Most MMO's launch with missing content and no end game, medocre crappy classes etc.  Mythic has no missing content contrary to belief that taking out cities is missing content its really not..everything you need is there.  there are no holes in the game where your stuck without enough to do.  end game is also present. 

Mythic didn't run out of money...for pete's sake their part of EA a multi million maybe even billion dollar world company...they were hardly straped for cash.
