Trolling, trolling will never change.

Over 4 years i was acussed of being troll over and over. Unfortunately its hard to discern troll from passionate gamer that really hopes and wants that quality of MMO games improve.

So now after 4 years of waiting, and trying every damn MMO that came out. Finally there is one that looks like was made by people that didnt take crazy pills, or just bunched something together cause they ran out production money.

Surely its not the best MMO in the world evah' , surely there is A LOT place for improvement.

But the game is GREAT , its not fundamentaly broken like AOC or Vanguard or DDO or any other MMO that couldnt suceed because in its core it was flawed design from start.

WAR is a game that is great now and will only continue to be great.

But trolling will never change.

Because some people are not here because they love gaming, not because they love MMOs.

They are here like soccer fans. They do not like their team because it play good. They like it because they are home town supporters. And every other team sucks , no mather how good they play.

So I am not suprised about some posts on this forums.

Just remember. When you read "IT SUCKS" post , look for actual explanation.

Great for you m8, i totally agree with you. This game is very very fun to play. Is it simple ? Yes it is. But i think it going to be pretty hard to capture a capitol city tbh. The guild system in war is the best ive ever seen, and the grouping system works very well to. The game is well designed for what it suppose to do.

For the haters, just play another game if you dont like it, there are lots of them out there.

well , I can only say for myself ... I didnt follow war development, but after the AOC debacle I decided to give it a shot, and I must say, at least for now the shot was well worth giving.

I'm no fanboy of any game or company and generally I don't stick with games that are not fun to me. If I feel that I'm not getting what I am paying for, I take my money elsewhere. I have enough work in RL and I come to games to relax and have fun.

War is not the second coming of christ, it is not revolutionary, it has some glitches (that are not in any way gamebreaking). It launched fairly complete with all of its major features implemented, and although there is off course room for improvement, war is a very good game.

If you are looking for a revolutionary mmo then war is not it, however if you are looking for a game that does good what it sets out to do, and modernises some of the MMO concepts that we are all used to and brings them one level up, then give it a shot. In my book its well worth it.

Now if we on the order side could only get a proper tank character - I hate the choice between a midget and a transexual :P

WAR keeps getting accused of things it was never supposed to be..   not a sandbox..  graphics not super-amazing..   its quite pathetic really..

There are of course legitimate concerns.  Population balance is an issue and there is no accounting for personal taste.. but some of the comments I have read go far beyond opinion and into the realm of delusion and denial.

And I agree with the sentiments of the post. WAR is a game I can actually look forward to coming home to play after work. Haven't been able to feel that way for a while.

Your soccer fan analogy is pretty spot on. Both in terms of the reason trolling occurs here (supporters of other games), and how insanely far some people take their fanaticism(stalking the forums every day with post after post of hate wall-o-text).

Though I think of it more in terms of baseball cause thats whats popular around here... this is all just Yankees vrs Redsocks in the digital age.

This forum in particular is reserved for viral marketers and fanbois of other games.

Aside from the blatant WoW trolls like bodypass, the people that don't like the game tend to be sandboxers and want more freedom.  I consider myself a sandboxer in a way because they are my favorite types of games, but I am still having fun with WAR.  Definitely getting my moneys worth, and I am excited to see how end game plays out and where they take the content addition of the game. 

However if anything like SWG pre NGE came along I would dump anything I was playing and I would dissapear from these forums for a year and gain 50 lbs and get a divorce.  Not really but it could happen...
