A game that replaces a FULL 3D world you can fly over ...with pure and utterly crappy cut scenes of you being tied to a helicopter is a tribute to the downfall this gaming industry is now known for.

Seems more like ranting and personal opinions...

I really love the instant travel in WAR. One of the things I really hated in WoW was having to sit there staring at my character doing absolutely nothing for 10 minutes while traveling somewhere. WAR's method lets the players focus on playing the game, rather than waiting for the game to let you play. |

So far no one disputes the OP's claims with facts. He wins the argument. |

If the OP is a wow fanboy: Yes, Warhammer is cheap, like fast food, but so is wow ;)

Facts? He didn't post facts, only personal opinion, so there is nothing to argue; only ignore. |

The OP completely ignore that there ARE different class resources in ADDITION to action points. Like righteous fury for the Warrior priest or Waagh for the shaman and so on, so I guess he fails on that point. As for CC, considering the devs had a fully working CC system in DAoC, I really doubt their choice of not having as much here is related at all with lazyness. I could talk about the rest of the post, but I feel this small snippet sum the rest up very well (should be obvious why there are cutscenes for example instead of full flying paths, not the whole world is present in the game right now and some of those flight would take FOREVER to do, also WoW does not show you the whole boat trip from the continents, oh noes! what a rip off! it took me just 5 minutes instead of 5 hours!).

Silly boy, you mistakenly posted this in the War forum instead of the AoC forum |

Why is it on the interwebs that people think that other people care what they think? Its like they believe that because they say its so it is. Look mate (OP) no one cares what you think, really they dont. This is the internet and woe be it for me to infringe on your freedom of speech but NO ONE cares that you dont like the game. There will be some that say by replying to the thread that I am contradicting myself and that by replying I am proving that I do care. Not so. My opinion has as much value as the OP's, i.e. none. The OP wont care what I say and will find no value in it ......... see where im going with this? Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one but that dont mean that your opinion has value to anyone else. My advise would be, take a deep breath, turn off the PC go outside and reflect on the way your life is going because if you put this much importance on a game ..... yes a game, with what is happening in the world then you need help, really. I wont respond to any flames to this post because I have better things to do like take the dog for a walk and stuff. Thankyou. |

The fact that you spend your time reading and responding to something you clearly state means less then nothing to you speaks volumes about who you are. The rest of us will carry on talking passionatly about the hobby we love, just as others into soccer, fishing, whatever do through out society around the world. And yes, the opinions of other do mean something to me. I am sorry they do not to you. |

WoW made TBC in a cheap way to get more players, everyone can get imba stuff with less efford etc. TBC was made for small kids, and blizz admit it to =) There is a post somewhere here from a blizzard gamedirector, that tell us that tbc is made easy to get more ppl playing the game, more ppl = more money! |

Ahh yet ANOTHER troll post from WAR's most dedicated troll;
So why does it stutter when 20 people fight at once? Even the fanboys are noticing it. And certainly Mythic knows it too, because they still have the very low population caps on the servers. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There HAS to be a reason why they keep the server populations so low ----- > lag and badly written code. AoC had instances to keep the game running client side. War has servers with 1/3 the population of other MMORPG and everyone still sees the lag. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ok enough with the trivial things: Let's do the BIG things/ 1. How about real FLYING units instead of a pathetic loading screen with you being tied up to a very bad version of a chirocopter. A real 3D open world you can fly over instead of bumping into cartonish walls of fake mountains, always covering 30 to 60% of the maps. Oh BTW Warhammer TT has very much a huge amount of flying mounts. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On the WAR forums there are guys even stating it is the "next generation of MMO's". While taking a "flight path" in WAR: you look at a 2D/3D animated loading screen. How far must standards fall before anyone stands up there and says "Hello?, knock knock, anyone home up there"? Only silence can honor it. And I'll bump it up if necessary. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So because I like playing Wow more than WAR (which I also play) I am a troll ? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ok bodypass, we get the picture, you do not like WAR and you think WOW is the second coming of Christ. Why must you tell us all over again, and again? Why do cut scenese instead of watching, for the billionth time, as your character flies from A to B signal the MMORPG industry is going to implode?. Yeh it's a nice touch the first few times but becomes nothing more than AFK time after that. "extreme lacking control functions in PvP combat" ? You mean no stun-locking clothies? "Scenarios are a laugh. Some are being played on a post stamp." Yeh, because each scenario really does need a map the size of AV! the rest is utter bile, dribbling from your jabbering mouth. ~~in no order~~Anarchy Online, Neocron, EQ2, Lineage2, CoH, CoV, Guild Wars+, DAoC, SWG(+NGE), Starpeace, Second life, Saga Ryzom, Planetside, Auto Assault, Eve-Online, WW2O, DDO, MxO, WoW, VSoH, LOTRO, RF-online, Cabal, Fury BETA,SotNW,TR,PotBS,LOTRO,AoC,WAR,GalaxyOnline, Darkfall |

The game definitly has some issues. Fortunatly this isnt AOC and things will get fixed. Sorry I didnt have any facts for you besides mountains not being 2d and classes do have there own "resources" as you put it. Other than thoes two things you flat out lied about everything else was opinion on both your part and mine. The two items you TRIED to put as facts however where infact lies which I countered with facts. Edit: I forgot. Massivly did say 250k after 3 months. Look at some of there other guesses. They have been far from right in almost every case. There is a reason they are the only ones running there mouth right now. MMORPG's are some of the most difficult games to guess boxes sold/subscriber bases. |

bodypass latches onto one small minor thing that barely affects gameplay and makes it out to be the downfall of a hundred nations. He also latches onto false information and lies, and he repeats every single one of these things that pops into his head like a lightbulb went off and he must think it makes him look so clever. He usually comes up with them flaming a constructive post about WAR while promoting WoW, and claiming that everyone and their mother will return to WoW within 10 days. He offers out fake beards and sunglasses so everyone can return to WoW unashamed. After he trolls a post with something like 'lame zoning by helicopter.', in which he doesn't seem to realize that it isn't only helicopters, and he thinks it is so clever he writes a new post about it, or puts it in his sig. Then he goes on the WoW forums and complains about people over here hating WoW and only contributes to troll/flame posts but ignores any constructive criticism of his precious game, unless it is to bash WAR when the post has nothing to do with it. He swore up and down that servers were locked at 500/500 when that was only for a few days at launch before expanding the servers. He swore that everyone would be bored and return to WoW within 7 days at launch, but it's been 7 days. Most importantly what he fails to realize is that WAR actually promotes World PvP, and the best way to have large RvR areas is to have them zoned. They still have large areas, but having them zoned can allow for more people fighting in an area with less server strain. With WoW's system after a few months of Tarren Mill and World PvP straining servers they decided to push the focus into BG's and eventually Arena. The most important thing is what is an average play session like in a game? So in WoW I can spend 8 minutes on a flying mount, grind some quests, spend 8 minutes returning, do some BG's, fight in an arena. Maybe if I have 4 hours and a free schedule I can do a small PvE raid. Now in that list does it even make sense to include the flying mount? No it is only included because of how much time it wastes if it would ever be included. Either people complain about the waste of time or they don't say anything about it. Now what bodypass finds so hard to understand is that WAR isn't a game where everyone is at end game with at least 1-2 characters. We don't know what WAR end game is going to play out like. Most likely it will involve a non stop tug of war RvR struggle to push towards the other sides capital and siege it. Some scenarios here and there. Once again traveling is not mentioned because it is unimportant in the big picture, but it is not mentioned as an annoyance either. When I see my keep is being sieged I want to get there and into the action. However, I also like WoW's way and I think it is more fitting for a PvE game. It doesn't annoy me personally to fly in WoW on pre-determined paths. I also like WoW's graphics though which annoy a ton of people. Anyway read up on bodypass's post history it is always entertaining. |

It is funny you bring this travel point up as it was one of the things I hated about WOW. I will admit Blizzard did an outstanding job with the graphics of sitting on a bat or griffin and flying from one place to another. It drove me nuts to fly from Org to say Tanris I mean six minutes of flying give me a break. I always cursed at myself for not making a mage to port here and there. At least with WAR I am right there killing my enemies in a matter of seconds not flying over mountains or water. This is just my opinion but for me it is just fine. |

The zones are large enough for me, In fact they should be large enough for everyone. Warhammer is at least the same size of LOTRO when it first came out. It may not be totally seamless, but I was not even expecting expecting tier 1 areas such as Ekrund and Bloodhorn to be seamless. So thats an unexpected + that I see. 3 different starting areas for each side, thats impressive !!! I'm only a level 13 as I hit so many road blocks in life that limit my game time, but I'm a major explorer and with leveling slowing down after level 10, I still can't cover all the area a zone has to offer. I've been doing a lot of PvE and still only did about 1/2 of the quest provided, and thats only Dwarf and Greenskin, I'm saving the other race areas for replay value. As far as travel, I unexpectedly like the fast travel, Its nice when I only have 2 hours to do a lot and don't have to waist a half hour of it getting from Darkshore to Tanaris. If you don't like the travel time being faster, the best I could say is take a shower, get a job and a girl friend ! I understand that Warhammer has a good endgame already, show me another MMO that had been released in the last two years that has that ! As far as the OP, I'll bet he is a FUNCOM SPY. I'm not paranoid but they do control the forums |

The only info you would want to hear is that WAR is the absolute best MMORPG game ever invented and it simply isn't for me and for millions of others. Oh BTW of course I say that a LOT of people will be bored after playing WAR for 7 days. As a matter of fact eveyone following the industry already knows this and I will be very happy to prove it at the end of the year. I have comments on the game. You always play the man. That is the BIG difference beteen us. Oh BTW: How many times have you now written "I HATE Wow" 2 or 3 million times ? So don't come crawling in on that last paragraph, because the crowd knows your hate already. |

Well, point 1: Travel in this game what it needs to do, get you from point A to point B in an efficient manner. Travel is not used as a time sink here. To me, point to WAR for not wasting my time. Point 2: Mob pathing WAS bugged, but now, from all I have seen, is working fine. Point 3: CC, it is in there, above level 10. Edit: Also, with Collision detection, any good tank or group of tanks make for good crowd control when working together. You know, the focus on this game being team work instead of solo PvP gods ganking? Point 4: Scenarios does what they are ment to do, have objectives and multiple ways of getting to them. I have not seen any wasted space in them. Good job on WAR's part. Point 5: one-liner comment - an attack without basis. Point 6: Server Caps to balence the sides in RvR? Tell me it isn't so that they want to BALENCE things? Please define your opinion of a High Quality and polished game. This game seems to work just fine for me and alot of other people. Personal opinions and blatent attacks does not make facts about a game. Additional Edit: I completely missed the comment about class resources. Besides action points which are used by all classes as a balencer, most classes have an additional mechanism. (with the notable exception of White Lion and Squig Hearder, both being "pet classes") For example, Witch Hunters use Accusations/Executions, Archmages use Tranquility/Force, Sword Masters use Stances and so on. Each has a specific and unique way of working. They DO have, as you say, "class resources" just not in the fashion you seem to perfer.
Have a good day! |

What would fix the flyover thing is to let the player set one of three options:
1- Cut scene 2-Fly Over 3- Instant Teleport
Option one works like now. Fly Over would let you observe the landscape the way precious WoW does as you fly through (and I had a couple CTDs back then when I used to do this in the early days of launch) Instant Teleport would be the option 98% of us would probably select after we've seen both the other two a few times.
