Ok, when I was playing beta I played a Dark Elf.  She was beautiful, sexy, and deadly too.  The only downside was the wait times for scenarios was pretty long, and I had heard the scenario wait times for order were considerably shorter.

So I rolled Empire on the side of Order on launch day.  I managed to settle on what I felt was an attractive female, but I wasn't a hundred percent satisfied with her hair.  I like long hair.  More long hair styles pleeeease, developers.  It doesn't really bother me if there is some clipping with the armor, just as long as it doesn't look stupid.  And maybe a barber shop later ?  I know, we just launched and there are a million more important issues.  But one can hope.

Forgive me, but I am one of those people that can and will spend anywhere from 30 min to an hour in some games making my character.  Sometimes it is an exercise in frustration, and you end up making compromises aesthetically, but I feel like my female character is cute without any hint of slut.  She looks respectable and kind of wholesome, which fits since she is a warrior priest.

Anyway, one day I am doing some pve quests and some npcs spawn suddenly nearby and attack me.  What struck me kinda funny and made me smile was she exclaimed, "Oh damn!"  Which is funny because that's exactly what I would have said.  And when one of the npc's walloped her good she shouted, "Bastard!" And ofcourse she has the hint of a british accent which is loveable.  I don't know...I love brits and their accents :)

I'm on an rp server.  I find myself starting to slip in the role of being a warrior priest.  I heal people.  I tend to pray for them a lot, especially before battle.  Or over a corpse.  I've even ressurected some poor souls from the dead.

The other day I decided to play the explorer / missionary, and I wondered northward into the lands of the Chosen.  I saw a player working on a mission.  I know it's kinda mean, but I am an instrument of righteousness.  Also there is the matter of them kidnapping my sister....there's a lot of bad blood okay?  Anyway, I jumped down from a hill.  The whole time I am thinking, "Convert or Die".  Well he took a swing, so I unleashed Sigmar's hammer on him.  A little ways further on, another Chosen spotted me and attacked.  I find their lack of faith....disturbing.  Anyway, I sent him to a better life.  At this point I was feeling like maybe this is a hopeless cause, and also my luck and welcome into their lands might be wearing thin, so I start to head back.  But as I am heading back from one of the keeps, I see another Chosen and he's flagged....blood on his hands.  So I came up around a little valley, heading him off and ambushed him.  He must have been battle weary though because he sprinted off after I got a few good shots in.

At that point, I decided I better teleport home before he came back with friends.  Spent the next couple hours helping to repell invaders from keeps, did a couple rounds of PQ and finished off some pve/pvp quests.  All in all a good day.  Very fun and satisfying.

Anyone else getting attached to their characters, and if so what do you like the best about them?

Also i am a warrior priest ... Last night i got hit pretty hard by a witch elf from the back ( they seem to like it from the back) and Liggett said in his rough brit accent "Bollocks!" i actually stopped a second wondering if i heard it correctly!.

The little things are amazing in this game.

yeah, m8. when i heard it forst timei was confused aswel. I could not believe that developers love us that much so give us such small details, that give so much :D

Yhought one thing was annoyng, when you play dark elf female, when you jump she shouts very crappy, and makes such strange face.....

Btw i made myself a black orc, I AM JUST LOVING IT. i am only rank 13 atm. But i got some nice looking gear only now, i was waiting for it so badly... Now it looks so cool.

thats what i love about warhammer, your character does look nice, and gear makes it look even better. So you hunt gear not only for stats, but for looks aswell :D .

Thought i hope they will bring that idea of rank changing looks of charackter: higher lvl dorf has bigger beard etc.

Only character i have ever got attached too was in Saga of Ryzom, havn't felt like that in any other mmo yet.

I love my Engineer!  yes he gets owned.  lol  its just fun blowing up people!

but was that your 1st mmo? you usually get attached to your 1st.

I hate being the "badies" but had to make a chosen they just look so cool. Im only level 9 but bought shoulder pads off auction house and last night doing pvp i got an awesome looking helemt so my toon looks pretty cool now.

I am loving him.

I think when my Empire girl whimpers it sounds really cute.  One time I hit  /cower and didn't realize I had an npc guard targeted.  In chat he says something like, you disgust me.  LOL.  I couldn't help it though...she sounds so cute and vulnerable.  Ok, I'll stop now, lol.

that's what i like mythic, they make the game so "alive"
