If you do the math, the makeup of this WAR forum is about 37% troll (the 7 or  below ratings).  There's no way this game deserves lower than an 8 rating.  Especially compared to the other MMOs out there.

Ehh...the game is a RvR game, so if you take the PvE out of it, then ehh, it's a 10, but if you add the PvE, then ehh, well, it's not such a good game after all, but I still give it a 10 because I love the RvR.

Hell after 700+ votes it's still 8.93 on the mmorpg rating.  I was surprised by that as much as the votes on this poll.

 

The fact that 18% rated it a 10, PERFECT, can't get any better, right when it launches, shows that the numbers are skewed quite a bit by fanbois or each WAR box came with a set of rose colored glasses.

The scores are going through a normal phase they do when ever a game is changed from "In Development" to "Released".  The game whose status is changed gets a super high rating and all the other games' scores go down. It goes back to normal.

I was a bit taken aback by that same thing once... but it was explained to me.

I give it a 4 would have give it a 7 but order on my server are pretty much forced to pve and pve sucks in war.

7.. yea it's fun but there are quite a lot of bugs and it's nothing new... even public quests aren't THAT exiting as most ppl try to imply.

Most fun I've had in years , and has totally converted me to PVP / RvR.. hoplessley addicted 10/10 without question from me.

Plus its only going to get better.

Voted a 5, nothing particulary bad with this game (actually there is quite a few things that are bad with the game, but it is still a better release than most of the crap that has come out lately, which in itself speaks volumes for this industry)

but theres nothing that really makes it stand out either, its a very mediocre game. Also just experienced the RvR today the supposed meat and potatoes of the game, it consisted of me running around trying to find people to kill/fight, very exciting, the people that say they are getting RvR all the time must be really lucky because it seems to be non existent on every realm I have tried.

2 hours no one was around, this is a medium populated realm I am on, so the people on the lower pop servers must be bored out of their minds. Scenario queues are very random, yesterday I had probably 5 to 20 minute waits, today I had 30 - 60 minute waits, my 2 uncles and my Dad are playing this game on different servers apparently they never get scenerios pop up, and as for the RvR it is non existent.

Also it has been mentioned plenty of times, but no one talks in this game, there does not seem to be any reason to group, no reason to ask questions (this game is so damn easy, and to be honest exactly like other mmos that there really is not much you need to ask that is not in the manual or the same as previous mmos) or work together.

You actually get rewarded for standing around it seems, so it probably explains why every single PvP group feels like the most retarded of WoW pick up groups, theres simply no incentive for people to actually put some kind effort into winning.

But they seem to put lots of effort into spamming the chat with learn to plays, you suck noobs, etc etera even when we are winning by miles.

Hopefully they start merging servers soon despite how bad it looks for the game, they made a mistake and should take the measures to fix it. Because for one theres barely anyone around on most of the servers it seems for public quests, scenarios and RvR. They made a mistake releasing this game with so many servers on launch, this game obviously needs a high population to work properally.

The public quests themselfs are good the first time, but it quickly gets repititve doing the same thing over and over. Tome of Knowledge is a nice feature, but no better or worse than the lore book (or whatever its name was) from LOTRO. Being able to mix PvP leveling with PvE questing is great, but unthoutunatly 2 of the main aspects of the game RvR and public quests depend on large amounts of players, which most servers even the supposedly populated ones lack.

The PvP from what I have experienced is exactly the same as WoWs, for a game that is meant to focus on PvP I would of expected something more than zerg, zerg, zerg, stand still wack character, zerg zerg, and constant spam of scenario channels with people saying l2p whislt zerging themselfs -_-

The graphics are terrible, but everyone knew they would be. Animations are more disapointing it really takes away from the game when everything moves and reacts so badly. The actual combat I think partly feels slow due to the terrible animations.

There is quite a lot of random lag, the actual game runs smoothly (although I can run age of conan on high so it should run smootly on my computer) I assume the hundreads of mobs and players I see seemingly standing there is server lag. Hopefully this improves, as its quite annoying, but it is something that I have seen in every mmo I have played at launch so I kind of expected it.

Overall I can't really see my self playing in the long run unless A) The activity in the game picks up, right now it feels very devoid of players, when the game so obviously relies on a decent amount of activity then thats a problem for the game.

B) the problems listed above get fixed. C) The community improves, right now its the worst one I have come across.

Theres a lot more they can probably do but those 3 I think are the most importent and obvious.

One last note, this game is very liniar, but to be honest people should of expected this, so I don't know why people complain about it still. Same goes for the graphics, you can tell just from the screenshots and previous videos it would of never been the strong point for the game.

If you still plan to buy the game and give it a try, then go ahead, it deffinatly has potential, there is quite a lot to do in the game, so there is a good chance you will find something you like, especially if you are new to mmos. If your not new to mmos, then unless you are a large fan of warhammer lore I would not be surprised if you dont like the game in its current state.

it got a 1 simply because there was nothing lower..but i think much less of it.

I gave it an 8.  I'm having a lot of fun right now, its really easy to do different things, and its an accesible game for casual players.

Only people that give it  1 are not playing it and just trying to get the rabid fanboys who gave it a 10 down a notch. It s a solid 8.5-9 to me because it s very fun and my whole guild agrees.

Sorry, but that's just retarded. Even the really bad games such as archlord and dark and light don't deserve a one. Way to lose credibility.

6/10, it's an adequate game and will probably do OK. but at the end of the day It's a prettier WoW without the depth and scale of WoW, Scenarios are Battlegrounds and get boring, real fast.

PQ's are a great idea (and pretty original)  and seem to work quite well, except the loot distribution

The trouble is for WAR however is that although it doesn't do anything badly it also really does not do anything great either. It's an average MMO.
