So I have just been to the PC shop and have left my PC to be upgrade with a dual core Athlon and the monster HD4870 ATI. I had only 1 gig of ram before, asked for another gig only to be told that they had none and wont have more till next week. So you think once I get my new pride and joy home tonight I will still be cursed with stuttering? |

Shouldn't be, however, I've seen people with monster computers complain, where my fairly high end rig runs fine. The game obviously still has graphical problems, such as spell effects lasting aftter the effect, endless loop animations (had to log out to quit the looting animation earlier), and weird shadow glitches. Hopefully Mythic can straighten this out before too many people get upset.

Just the remaining gig of ram is worrying me that I might still have issues. I am reckoning though that the dual core and the card might alleviate some of the pressure. Oh and can someone state the obvious for me? Dual core is one cpu running at double the speed? So effectively the same as having 2 cpus working beside each other?

em. ram is easy to update. you can get it yourself today if you want.....takes like 2 minuits to install just ask the dude what ram your mobo model is compatible with and put it in yourself. or if you know what your mobo model is i can tell you Playing:SWG |

Yes, it is easy to install, just be sure that you have it unplugged first and avoid ESD (Electro static discharge), try to touch something grounded before you touch anything in the computer. 1 gig is to little for most modern games, he** 2 gig is already low so you might get some problem still. |

There's also 64 bit XP. That doesn't matter though, I think you don't have enough RAM to fully enjoy WAR. You will be able to play it however.
