When 1 person dies its a tragedy, when a million its a High score |
well basically IT DOESNT EXISTS but i wanted to ask would you the consumer BUY a portable console that plays only 1 game and it is an mmorpg
the reason i ask is because being portable is the future, people are always on the move and i know myself if i could play WoW or WAR on a portable unit ( i would die a slow an hungry death) i would. plus i have been googling Google android which looks awsome (you can play quake, yes quake, shitty graphics but its QUAKE)
so the question is would you buy a portable mmorpg console,, now take into account that its a game you like.
so would you spend such cash?

i would pay 150 euros for a portable console that only plays 1 MMORPG ... IF it was like .hack |
|
If it was a monthly fee over 15 months then yeh.

i owuld, because if it was portable and could run say...EQ2 then i could harvest the cheapness of the hardware for other uses too.

I would want to see a portable device that would run a proper MMORPG. Have 102 buttons, or atleast 40 for the required proper handling of any non-korean MMORPG character. Have a mouse or similar fast and proper way to move camera, target, aim, and do what in any MMORPG mouse is used for. There is already enough keyboard turners, no more console joysticks needed. But yes, if you can put that together, I'd pay 150$/€ for that. Then again, I already have a laptop, and it plays ALL games I want to play. ![]() WHO - Online currently WoW - Online since launch. Its a better idea to just use a cell phone. Nobody will buy a gaming machine that plays one game. Cell phone gaming is big business, Steve Demeter developed the iPhone puzzle game Trism and generated $250,000 in profits since he started selling the $4.99 game on iTunes this summer. That's after Apple (AAPL) has taken its 30% cut of total sales, and after subtracting his initial investment of about $5,000. Now the iphone may not be the perfect canidate for a mmo the point still remains theres money and cell phones have enough power to run games. Think in 5 years what cell phones can do. I would pay £150 for a new mmo and up to £20 a month sub, if and only if the game has the quality that deserves that price.
Forget mobile computing, no mobile deivce, yet can reproduce the richness of graphics you can get on a PC. For this price i would expect things like NPC controlled by real humans, ie they are employed by the game producer to interact with the paying customers. And other such inovative applications. Currently playing WoW. |

Hell yeah I would. I expect to see a damn good virtual world in there. In a headvisor! |

I wouldn't play a game dumbed down in such a way to fit portable devices. |

i would definately pay $150 for this thing if i didnt have to pay per month, or it came with like a years worth of free months. 150 is a lot of money, and with 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 it adds up.. but then again, people have been playing WoW since it came out and that must be in the thousands.

741e + BC if you played since launch. ![]() WHO - Online currently WoW - Online since launch. LOTR-O - Online 06-07 EVE - Online 07-08 DAoC - Online 01-08 Also played : AC, EQ, EQ2, DDO, Cabal, D&L, GW, LA2, Ryzom Shaiya, SWG Waiting : DAoC2 |

People payed more than that for a life time subscription for LOTRO if I remember well. |

em...how about a laptop...i just use my laptop if im travling out for a long time.... |

Now if you can tell their millions who play wow and spend $15 each month for game play, and as that adds up your looking at around (until this very day if you played it as it came out) well over $300.00-$500.00 for upgrades e.g graphics card, memmory, monotor, ang game play.Dont be surprised to see how many life hours you spend into WoW for that kind of money your investing in it.And as we all know-its what makes blizzards "rich world" go round.

"Easy" only equals "better" for crack addicts and MMORPG developers. |

Serious? So ppl play an MMO for the social aspect of the game, yet when out in RL they shut themselves off, not socializing with Real People so they could socialize n play a MMO? How bout just lookin at the Real World around you rather than being stuck to dam portable devices? I am sure when you die you won't be saying " I wish I took more time to Lvl up." |

heh, I was gonna say, they already have a portable mmorpg, its called a laptop. Seriously though, I wouldn't pay that if it only was good for one game. I can wait until I get home. |
