I just hate it when people come to these fourms and post stupid ass comments like "oh this game is just another WoW clone." or "Just another Korean Grindfest.". it makes me sad to see how stupid and ignorant some people are. if your going to say shit about a game do some research on it then come here and post. I will admit this game is a little bit like WoW, but then again what game isnt? it has been stated thousands of times before that Aion isnt really anything new its just taking stuff from other games and improving them, and throwing in a new feature in every now and then. like the stigma system, and the fact you can take stats from one set of armor and put them on another. This game isnt trying anything new instead its just playing it safe. this game looks like its going to be a nice Solid Game. So those who want to play a game that isnt going to fall apart on them i would look into this. And for those who say this is just another asian grinder LOL. this also has been stated that this game is going for a more weastern style game (questing and such). so plz All people who come to these fourms PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ do some research instead of just leaving stuipid ignorant comments.

I think the big cause of this is the lack of information. It took me quiet some time going through the internet to find the Euro site for Aion, which gave me a fairly decent idea of what's going on.

The OP is right. But as part of the future community of AION we can do our best to spread the word and debunk the myths about the game. Those who keep making those stupid comments are either trolls or simply ignorant. |

I'm starting to wonder if going through all this trouble trying to convince lazy, annoying and hapless folk who would end up being future party mates you'll end up despising. I would never compare any NCsoft game too WoW...
Than again i only played WoW to level 20 and decided it was cartoony and carebear... anyways i trust NCsoft, i think they did a great job on Lineage 2. Aion should turn out pret good imo. |

Simply said aion=korean or where ever grind fest! I say that because free to play or ftp games are shit and always will be, does the sword look bigger than tha avatar/toon then it is korean or china develop. You give me something original and I will play it,but most asian companies follow blueprints, and guess what we kinda set the market for that! Think NEW! New standards not buy "x" weapon on item store. The most ridiculous thinking ever heard of! Entropia is a great game go play it=( |

But most of the time, people who post stuff like that have at least the basic understanding that Aion isn't your typical Korean mmo and whats being promised to us is a game with less of a grind. With that being said, they just spew out misinformation in hopes of confusing people who don't know anything about the game and/or they just hate Korean mmos in general and don't want to give any of them a chance. When I know people are sceptical, but would genuinely like to know more about the game to get a better grasp on what it's bringing to the table, I'd steer em in the right direction, but when people just want to hate for the sake of hateing, well, Suu141 pretty much hit the nail on the head. It's a shame they are destroying the real hype value of this game. But it doesn't really matter, as long as NCSoft will not make the same mistake as Funcom in opening 50 servers when 20 are enough. |

that's what i wanted to say, it's all very well that they DON'T play Aion (we'll be better off without them), but when they cast there "as low as possible" hype votes when they know sweet f a about the game is really REALLY frustrating. We need to have a "critic's impressions rating" displayed with the game info, more visible than the hype value. So far all the critics have been very positive and I've seen some 90% "first impression" scores. This is what we need people to see when they come to find out more about Aion, not some value that has been ruined by people who have no clue what they're rating. I just hope that in the coming months marketing and coverage steps up and more peopel are shown what it is TRULY gonna be like. |

think tho, the more naysayers, the bigger the sleeper hit. People that talk shit about it in forums bug me to no end, but what will make it satisfying in hte long run is when AION is released and is the next big MMO(or best) that allthose naysayers can go eat their words, and I can shove it in their faces. It's almost 2010, and I am just not wiling to tolerate clunky graphics while being told that "gameplay is more important than graphics". That excuse won't wash with me any more. I expect my games to have both good graphics and good gameplay. |

I am really really really looking forward to this game. I dont care if it is a WoW clone or not. The graphics look good, from what Ive read and seen it looks that it will come together in a great MMO experiance. Who cares what the Naysayers say? I mean..the game isnt even out yet..so how the hell do they even know its a clone? I think the old player base and the new age (WOW fanatics) have created some sort of MMORPG twilight time period. Where everything has to be a clone or bad. People said Warhammer was a wow clone and ive played both and they are nothing alike lol. What makes you think that it matters what they say about AION where nothing is even close to being the same.

And politics is the art of manipulating people through words, same for the media. and the list goes on. What I can conclude is that this is going to be one to buy, or at the very least try. When you're on the top of the scale with your Guild, you're pretty much doing the same, grinding, but not for exp but for honour points, or whatever your favorite MMO grants you as a reward for killing your opponent. |
