Think about it this game has a huge following and it really looks promising blizzard should not take it over persay it should be a publisher for the game it would make many feel better.

I don't think a single thing you said makes sense.

Darkfall is basically the Ron Paul of MMORPGs.  It's a got some very vocal and nutty supporters, but as far as the mainstream goes, no one cares.

 Darkfall sure does have a select following, people who understand what a real MMORPG is supposed to be. And not being confined to linear world. freedom of choice if you like, people with imaginations.

Oh, does that make me one of them!

My honest Opinion is that blizzard would make it worse becuase they have no sandbox exp or they would make it linear.

I think what the op is saying is that due to Blizzard's deep pockets and solid repuation, they could bring Darkfall to completion and successfully publish it.

I think you are actually being a bit linear about it. You are seeing that they have the most popular game and that it is linear and therefore that's all they can do.

What does Blizzard do well? Not make linear games per se but Blizzard can very adeptly see what makes a game successfull and hone in on those attributes.

I have no doubt that they have the brain power as well as the resources to make a sandbox game. But I don't think the majority of people want them. That is another discussion but from all the empirical evidence I've seen, that seems true.

Now, that's not true from the vocal people on this site! If one were to solely follow the opinions on this site, one would think that a pvp sandbox game would make millions upon millions.

And yet it's not to be found (as of yet). I will be very curious to see, if Darkfal does come to completion how it does.

Or they should let Darkfall die like Dark and Light and make their own much better games.

     I have got to say that this statement pretty much sums up how I think of the DF fan base. Don't get me wrong , I think it is a game that they will like , but as the Quote says not the mainstream.

dont you love it how all DF supporters see themselves as the only ones with good taste and knowing what the best mmo is... if the community wasnt so rotten id get excited about the game too ;/
