How many people have acually really given PvE a shot in this game?

I have run though the T2 T3 and in beta some of the T4 dungeons and all of them were nothing better or worse than other MMOs.

I've  had intresting boss fights where we needed to figure out what exactly was going on and how to counter it and such.

Not to mention all the PvE unlocks and places in the game I really don't understand this whole idea that the game has bad PvE there is tons of it and alot of intresting stuff also.

Anyone care to share how the PvE in this game is worse than any other?

i am a T1 person still...but some of the quests are pretty cool, while others are generic.

I think it is actually better due to the inclusion of Public Quests.  This makes the PVE experience exciting and give a lot more insentive for grouping.

I have to agree. I only played open beta, but I did enjoy the Public Quest Element. The PVE is much like any other game. I have played plenty of MMO's and this seems on par with the rest.

I don't think its much like other genres at all. I think its much more polished, i can run to an area grab all the quests and make the rounds very quickly. Where they shine is that none of the quests ive done so far (T1/T2/T3) have been a time sink all the quests can be completed quickly but have multiple parts to each quest so I feel rewarded constantly for the PvE instead of feeling like im grinding 29837498 mobs for 3 items, because the drop rate is awful.

Warhammer is basically a MMORPG that takes the best elements from other games and puts it together with a pvp focus. is the PVE good? Yes. is it perfect? No.  Is it better then other MMO's? Depends what your comparing it to.  Is the pvp better then other MMOs? In my opinion, there is no comparison, WAR pvp is the best pvp experiance to date.  I will say that I enjoy this PVE alot more then WoW or any other game I have played to date, the quests are interesting (some are generic) however the public quests keep the game interesting, and the Open RVR quests make it alot of fun too.  In short, your experiance in beta, was just that.  I have heard since beta they have changed things...you might want to consider playing through to T4 before you make an overall decision on their overall PVE system with high end content.

I personally see this game as having as good if not better PVE than almost any other MMo out there...

The only thing I don;t know about is the raid encounters, but then again I would say that even the tier keep sieges are PVE oriented and the high end city raids sound interesting...it is definately a different type of raid but none the less very cool and entertaining imo

Many people equate large dungeons, large death penalities, boss mobs with lots of hit points that take 15 minutes to kill, and huge time sinks to good PvE.  Basically the end-game of many prior MMO's.   Some people like that sort of challenge, and to them, WAR PvE is lacking. 

As an older working professional with a life, i find WAR PvE refreshing.  To each his own.

"Crappy PVE" is because PVE is inherently crappy. WAR does it better than most with at least adding the Tome explorations (for story and lore) and PQs where anyone can join in and have a chance to win some nice loot. To be honest I am quite glad that I am not chained to PVE to level my character, and I have be enjoying leveling through PVP immensely.

If you take the time to read the quests they are pretty good.  But in general they are the same type of quests we have seen before.

Where they stand out above the rest is public quests and the ability to click on a little icon by your avatar pic and join a group.  This is a very nice feature indeed.
