Can anyone give me an idea how long it takes to get to the level cap in this game? WoW was around 15 days played for level 60. So how does WAR compare? Will it take me 5 months of moderate play (10-15 hours/week) to get to the cap? |

You can get to 60 in WoW in about 3 days played. |

Are you talking about normal ranks only? Because if that is all you have you will be worse than a level 38 with 80 renown rank. Of course anyone who is rr 80 will almost certainly be lvl 40.
If all you did was grind quests and mobs it is probably comparable to WoW. But then you would have like no renown at all.
You would also probably be missing a number of tome unlocks. |

You can either agree with me or be wrong! |

Today yes, not at release, it took far longer back then. Kind of like saying it only takes a day or so to get a 50 in Daoc these days, took weeks back at release (playtime).

We got a level 40 on Phoenix Throne already. Alita. She's that disciple class dark elf. I'm betting she was played by a team. For a normal player? A month to 40 is my guess. Depending on what you call normal. |

The levelling seems slower than most games out there but the huge difference is that i am enjoying the experience and not racing towards the end game like most of my previous MMORPGs. |

I agree i find the leveling very slow if you want to lvl fast you will need to find a good group and stick with em, Playing casually atm and am sitting at R18 R10. Been on since 16th probably a few hours per day maybe 4-6 |

It really really really depends on your server. The best way to level is scenarios. Getting in a scenario as a destruction on a low pop server is very hard, order on a high pop very easy. When I was a T2 destruction I was getting 10k exp per scenario and 250 ish exp per mob. So you do the math. In T1 it may not be that noticeable, but when you hit T2 PvE exp does not scale well at all. T3 is even worse. So if you want to level fast, find a server with a very full destro side, and a high order side, and play order. Best way to level and way more fun then quest/ PQ / mob grinding. If you are going to grind mobs, make sure they are 5 level above you for best results.

I have been playing since the CE headstart and while I haven't had as much time to play as I would like. (only around 2-3 hours when I play and hasn't been every night) I have gotten to Rank 15 RR 12(or 13). I mainly level through scenarios and public quests. I also grab all the quests I can and try and do those in the area of the PQs I am doing. I am not the fastest leveler by any means but my first level 60 in WoW (very first one I had when the game was released) took me about 7 days /played time. I am usually quite focused but I end up only playing in small spurts do to Family and work stuff.
