Hey guys,

I got aoc a few weeks ago and am loving it so far.  I really think the game gets alot of bad comments due to the fact that many people cant play the game at it's full glory due to system limations.  The graphics are amazing, combat is great,  my guild is wicked  and the quests are fun! 

I see so many people say "once you hit 50 it goes downhill" , that never happened to me.

Hey,

To be honest I never even had a chance yet to check out the new pvp additions.  Currently focused on leveling up and helping guild mates.  I checked out some of the new quests and additions to Black Castle and it's all pretty cool!

he's just trying to wind you up by firing off some standardized comments from the pre patch 2.0 time.. You know PvP was different then, and some lvl 80 people had little to do. Now ,that is fixed with PvP content and hefty Siege gaming (this one is a blast.. have only got time to do two though)..

Like you, I also started playing a couple weeks ago. I find the game addictive and fun to play.

I'm really starting to dislike this website for alll the negative (not towards AOC but in general) views.

Seems some people have nothing better to do with their time than sit on forums a post BS.

He will experience the 13 new quests in E.M. Plus many enhanced others. They are working on it and he is going to get the tail end.

I don't get it.  Did you even read the post that started this thred ?

The point is, I am past 50 and STILL loving the game.  The forums seem to be full of people like yourself that make it almost impossible to say something good about a great game.  Maybe AOC was not for you, but that wont be the same for everyone.

Glad to see you're having fun, I am as well. Don't worry about the negative comments bro, it's your opinion that matters in the end. If you enjoy it keep doing so.

What server do you play on? I'm probably seriously outnumbered, but I love the game.

Im in the 50's right now and theres actually lots of quests, I havent gotten to a point yet were I didnt have at least a few local quests in my journal. I guess those extra quests they added in must have made a big difference, and they also added voice overs to a lot of the quest givers in Eiglophians. Sorry to the people that had to go through this stage before these quests were implemented though.

Same here, I went back to AoC after WAR was such a let down for me, and I'm having a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing OP.

Both me (Conqueror 55) and my fiend (Guardian 80 and two other alts in mid 40's) have never had these content issues people are talking about. I am on my first alt in mid 50' and my questlog is packed as well as I have to drop every quest that keep popping up on every corner.. I am not saying that initial critics were wrong on end game content.. Of course lack of PvP benefits(in the early version) were dissapointing some people, but I think the whole content thing just got blown way out of proportions... The biggest issue was OOM error's in my oppinion which now have been completely eradicated from the game.

I did have 3 boring levels around 55, that's true. Theres also a few more slow around 77 but I havn't played up another toon since the new EM quests and My logg have been full the rest of the time. But I enjoy my time in AoC more than I did with EQ2 before, got some great guildies :)

But that's about it, all people can't like the game no problem but there is quite a few people trolling AoC, Wow and WAR here just since they don't like it. Some poeple love some game others don't and that's fine or everyone would still be plating wow (or UO) but whining in the games forum ain't helping anyone. Particulary not months after you quited and the games changed.

Awsome! Glad you still enjoy the game. Sadly how easy it was to level was one of the killers for me. After 80 there wasn't much to do. People say raid but Green gear is better than tier 1 raid gear so that is kind of pointless. One of the other killing factors for me was also the declining population. It's still in a decline it sucks but it's true. The bugs and such are another issue I had.

The new patch gave pvp xp and some other things which is a good start. At this point to me they have about half a game now which is a step in the right direction. The downside to this patch was it added more bugs than it fixed and those it did fix it mainly just switched to those that were not initialy having the problem and fixed it for those that were.

And lastly you realise you are already more than halfway done with the game after a couple of weeks? Level 50 in a couple of weeks only 30 levels to go before the lack of population or anything to do hits you. After you have been 80 for a week come back and tell us what you think. If you still like it great... If not then you see what alot of us went through. The games just not worth a monthly fee. F2P and they kept doing the bug fixes then yeah I would still play AoC once in a blue moon like I use to with guild wars. To pay for a game thats unfinished and bug ridden on a monthly basis is just to insulting to me I can't do it.

Too early to say that AoC is a dead horse. Let's have some patience and see. Can't judge a book by it's cover and some people only started reading the book and love it. With DX10 coming up my thoughts are that AoC will be sucessful.

Man you are a complete rant.. You did not read the posts actually.. just scooping up a bad title... First of all. The AoC forum starts to get to a very positive place now.. Enter it and try and read the posts not just skim it for a promising title.. Another thing.. If you actually opened up the posts you posted you would understand that some of them are not negative at all, even though the title was so promising.. And just since you got into spamming the forums with links that nearly has no replies, I might just dig out any thing about WAR, WOW even, or any game out there but it is  totally rediculous. There will always be improvements to make, but I and the rest of the AoC community belive gamebreaking issues are out of the way. In fact way better after patch 2.0 (If you push me I'll spam you with about 10 links on this)... Just to restate what I said in one of the other threads... FC management today announced that there is a surge in server activity as of from last week.. Also FC has slowly stabilized and increased in value over the last 5 days... I bet this really must really hurt, since you so badly WISH it was different. Keep on WISHING but stay on facts please. AoC has in fact a lot of good stuff going on.. Another performance increase patch this week..

@ 2 weeks into this game I loved it too, then reality slowly began to set in and after 2 months I was just furious I ever bought the game....

I think my feelings are echoed by more of the (former) player base.... Case in point : Server merges after 3/4 months into release?? Thats NOT a good thing - no matter how you fanbois want to cut this post up, face it any game in server merge mode after 4 months on the market should have fired its director a long time ago.

Hmm.. i think you must be confusing Server merge with Server transfers... If not please give me a ref to this information... So fare the AoC community is aware of only 3 low population servers... Commeria, Set, Wiccana, Deathwisper,Tyranny, Thog....etc etc are very full in fact.

BTW I take from your text that you have not tried the game after Patch 2.0... Worth a try??

It went downhill for me when I tried to petition twice, waited 5 hours for a GM and then had my petition closed without a word when it was my turn. I don't care how busy the GM's are, if they can't even give me one line of dialogue then the company doesn't deserve my money, period.

Oh I'm sure the GM's answer in a timely manner now, since the GM sex-scandal and the huge loss of players. You can probably get to a GM in like 10 minutes now. But there's quite a few players like me that got rubbed the wrong way by the GM's, and as such will never play AoC or any other Funcom mmorpg again.

Just not so many crucial gamebreaking ones so early on. Stuff that was totally promised on the box stuff that STILL requires ADDING to the game.

I wonder what THEY consider a surge, given that some employees are saying that the game is #2 behind wow when its ranked what? 38th again on XFIRE?
