I just stated today. I'm only rank 5 now and when the Scenario bumped me to 8 I wasn't really helping anything because I don't really have any abilities. What rank should I start seing some Class specific abilities that can really turn the tide in battle with my aid?

Also if anyone has advice on how to level faster, PVE or just constantly do Scenarios?

Rank 10 you get Guard and can actually PvP tank. T1 is fun for screwing around and learning the ropes.  But many classes are not really what they become in T1.

Some healers lack an instant, tanks lack certain abilities, engineer are thin on the CC.

In later T2 most classes start to mature and T3 you should have most signature abilities, and t$ uusually gives some pretty cool stuff.

But at lvl 10 all class can contribute well enough.

You can make a difference right now in the scenarios.  Just jump in and start fighting or healing.

When making different peeps in the Open beta, I generally quested to about 6, then scenario'd. That's VERY good exp. And yeah, level 10 opens up plenty of skills. The Witch Hunter begins to shine at T2.

I'm playing a Shadow warrior who during tier 1 get a snare ability that makes a nice difference in pvp. but by level 11 you start to see your skills changing and start to need a little more thought. Once you hit 10 and cn start to choose your skill path you start to see a big difference.

Like someone said: every class is missing SOMEthing. Besides, you don't need abilities on your bar to turn the tide in some scenarios. Go out and capture control points, or do whatever is needed for the battle objectives. That is: if you would be more interested in winning the scenario, and not winning the biggest score on the score board at the end.

As for getting PvE levels: grind PQs in a good group. Fastest way to level.
