So I've been looking forward to this game for quite sometime now as im a huge stargate fan (nerd I know).. I enter the contest hoping but not expecting to win. So.. I get called out of town this weekend for work, and when I come home and check my email.. sure enough I had a winning ticket. Only to find out im disqualified. I'm totally bummed and showing my angry face. /rawr

Thanks for the advice fellas. I guess I could give it a shot contacting them, but im probably just going to be told to pound sand and deal with it. If any of you would be willing to reply to how good/bad the beta is, I'd really like to hear critiques. Thanks! |

I cant go into details, but it is VERY early beta and I dont think the winners get to play just yet. You arent missing that much just yet, but the concept and the path they are taking wont disappoint StarGate SG-1 or Atlantis fans. Cith of Heroes/Villians Villians: |

Nice! Good to hear. I figured NDA would prevent talking about actual details. But you provided exactly what I was looking for. I've been hoping that they would stay true to story lines and such.. and it appears they will do that. Thanks again for the info! |

How long has this game been in development? It seems too soon for beta. I only say that cause I usually follow games closely and it seems this game was made in about a year ma by year and a half? |

Yep, didn't get it either. I honestly thought it's for North Americans only? After finding out so many foreigners got it too, I guess not. So the servers will be interacted with them? Wouldn't that lag so much? |

I had this happen to me once, I wasn't out of town i was just really busy and when i finally checked and saw i had a winning ticket i was already like 3 or 4 days too late |

rubberbanding portals FTL. Honestly though, I don't even bother getting excited about Betas anymore since GaH. Sounds like this game could be canceled, or bought by SOE before or after launch.

God I hope they're not stupid enough to go SOE. That'd be an epic fail. But why would it get cancelled? Are you just trolling? or do you actually have something that could backup your suggestion? |

It is not like an open beta with a server that is live 24'7 for beta testing. And no they are not doing a SWG SOE take on things. Open beta will be a better XP for you. |

wow there were an awful lot of "alleged"'s, "claims to be employees" and "anonymous source"'s in that new article. Whilst I don't make it a policy to instantly think that all media is false.. this kinda has a bad smell hanging around it. like the representativ from CME said "They're a start up company in a pre-revenue stage. they haven't earned any money yet because they haven't released a product." makes sense that they'd have a tight budget no? |

That article had a lot of innuendos written all over it. Besides, it is a good bet, that many at massively have been misconstruing other games in favor of the WAR machine. CME is a startup company, by a lot of people that happened to love stargate, and thought it would be nice to make it into an mmo. The key word there is "Start-up". Not "owned and operated by EA, SOE, Vivendi". As a startup with a potential AAA title, they will have cash flow issues, especially in light of recent economic turmoil worldwide. That just means that some aspects of the game "might" have to come as addons, and not on box. I'm just glad i happen to check my email today to qualify. I assume u didnt make it back it time to reply to the 24 hour email notice which is horrible 
My advice would be to re-enter and often, kinda sux at this point but the only other option would be to contact MMORPG.com staff members and plead your case...either way, the very best of luck to ya.
I have a friend who works in the QA field and only gets to log into his work server 2 nights a week and then laughs at everyone over reacting.
