I've been playing this game since 2005 December, and this is my personal view on it. Flyff more or less is a grinding game, but before you think of another Maple story grind fest, the grind is a lot faster and can be fun. First I'll clear up some facts about the game. 1) This game isn't a quest based game, so if you enjoy questing to level up find a new one. 2) If you want a solo game, this is not the game for you. 3) This game is not a nation based game. 4) Potions have a cool down time. 5) The skill system works by points, every level you get more points to spent on skills 6) There is a skill chain combo system, you'll have to try it to understand it. 7) There is a cash shop, and this game is kind of cash shop based. 8) You can fly, but only at level 20. 9) There is a pet system, the pets pick up all loot whats on the floor in light speed. 10) The only charater customrization is choosing hair, eyes and items There are 4 classes each with their own unique skills. Assistant- Capable of being either a healer or a fighter, they can buff themselves and stun monsters and players in combat. (A buff is an improvement magic to a stat) Their weapon choice is either a stick, what is used for healing and buffing or an knuckle what they equip to their right hand. Mercenary- Your typical fighter class can use damage and defense buffs on themselves and some shiny weak combat skills. Their weapon choice is either an axe or a sword, the axe deals out more damage but it slower, where as the sword is faster but weaker. Acrobat- This class is your split between archer and yo-yo’s. Their skills range from being able to disappear, shoot cool arrow skills and stun enemies with yo-yo skills. Their weapon choice is either and bow with arrows what deals more damage, but costs more money due to having to reload arrows or a set of yo-yo's what are weaker but can knock back the enemy and has a wider Varity of skills Mage- Your typical mage, their skills are spilt between the elements of Fire, Wind, Earth and Water. These guys are your main damage dealers due to being able to switch between elements to deliver more damage to monsters. Their weapon choice is either a Staff what requires 2 hands and deals slightly more damage or a wand and a shield what slightly reduces damage, but raises defense. The 2nd class job change choices At level 60 each class is given the choice to choose between 2 classes, for that class. Usually the player has determined what 2nd class they would be, because you base the stats on that 2nd class, unless you buy a restat from the cash shop. When becoming the 2nd job you keep all the skills you had at your first class. Assistants Ringmaster or a Bill poster. Ringmasters are the specialist healers, buffers and even monster killing machines with a special AoE (Area of effect) skill what damages the things inside it 5 times if they stay inside the damaging area. Ringmasters also use posters what you can buy at the shop to cast a strong buff and to use their AoE. They stick with their Sticks for the rest of their sad little life. Bill posters are specialist fighters what use "posters" to increase their damage slightly and just puch the life out of any monster in their sight. And these guys stick with their knuckle for most of the time, except when their buffing themselves. Mercenary Blade or a Knight Knights are your hardcore tank, meat shield and 2handed axe or sword wielder. They are capable of fighting a lot of monsters at once and take minimum damage as well as stun the monsters while doing so. They are also capable of destroying a monster in light speed with a devastating power, these knights are called 1v1 dex knights. Tank knights always use axes, due to the power increase. Low level 1v1 dex knights would use swords because of the speed bonus, then at higher levels when they have more dex use axes. Acrobat Jester or Ranger Jesters are split into 2 types, either a "BJ", go ahead and laugh or a Yo-yo jester. "BJ" stands for bow jester, if you’re wondering why a jester is using a bow, it's because Jesters, when they become one obtain a critical rate increase what makes bows more powerful, they use bows and arrows Yo-yo jesters get awesome skills what terrorize in pvp and can hit hard in higher levels, use yoyo's. The jester class relies on attack speed and critical hits and evasion. Rangers are your knight except they can't tank very well, use magic and arrows. Instead of tanking they rely on evasion and instead of whacking monsters with a big weapon they fire magic arrows what have an AoE effect, use bow and arrows. Mage Elementor or psykeeper. Elementors are masters of the 4 elemental magic’s, they can do extreme damage and also become a tank, and they take low damage, hit hard and have really awesome looks skills. Elementors are kind of the gods of pvp, also annoying people in pvp. Elementors always use Staffs for the extra damage bonus as well as the staff’s bonuses. Psykeepers mostly know as devils, they use demonogly magic, can stun, hit hard and fast and can float. Psykeepers have a nifty skill what use to be a hax skill but now has been nerfed, it can reflect half of the damage the psykeeper takes and automaticy hit it back to the damage dealer. Psykeepers can either become 1v1 psykeepers or AoE psy keepers, AoE psykeepers are now not as effective due to having their hax skill nerfed. Psykeepers have a wide Varity of skills what are fun to use; they also use wands and shields. Contribution parties Leveling in this game is easy, you just have to prepare, in the game there’s a thing called "Contribution party" these parties make you gain exp either lower then double or double as fast! Contribution parties are created when your party reaches level 10, you can only get the bonus exp from this party if there is someone either lower then 19 levels above you, or lower then 19 levels lower then you. You and that person must be near each other on the map to receive the bonus. The more players that party has the more exp everyone gets. Map Flyff has a massive world map, and 3 different towns, Flaris, Saint morning and Darkon. Flaris is the town for lower levels. Saint morning is for medium. Darkon is for high. You can even fly from Flaris to Saint Morning and Darkon on your board or broom. Monsters Flyff has tons of monsters to be slain and monsters are located in big patches so you can grind on one thing in one area. There are boss monsters what have a large drop rate and can drop a lot of items what you can sell to the npc. Items Flyff has a massive range of items to pick from, the list is endless each set of clothing has its own look, so it gives players something to look forward to as they level. There is also a wide range of weapons with different looks, Flyff will not disappoint you with all the looks of the items.
Graphics Yes, the graphics are a bit what you would consider "childish" but, they aren’t bad. And personally I rather look at the graphics on Flyff then some realistic World of war craft ones, I find them more smooth and calm. The graphics issue is for debate, but usually graphics won't affect game play. Pvp There are many different types of "player versus player" things you can do in this, some boring some interesting. -Arena (A map you can warp through via a Arena warp what is located in Darkon, in there you can openly attack and kill people in the ring, without any punishment or benefits) -Duel (You can challenge players who are in either 30 levels below you or 30 levels above you, you gain no benefits or punishments) -Party duel (When there are 2 parties with the same amount of players, the leader of one of the parties may challenge another leader and can engage in combat, when the leader of the other team is killed, the opposing team wins) -Guild wars (A guild leader may challenge another guild leader to engage in a full guild vs guild battle, any online guild members can take part, when the guild leader is killed, the opposing guild wins. The guild stats record the wins and lose of guild wars. -Guild siege (Guilds may participate in a all guild vs. guild battle in a arena, but must pay a very expensive fee to enter, prizes are incredible) I won't add the pk system because it only works on one server and it's been changed, so I'll let you work it out for yourself. Flying Flyff has quite interesting flying system but, it won't keep you entertained for a long period of time. You have a choice of either hover board or broom, once you hit your board or broom key or double click it, it will have a waiting time for the item to load. When loaded, simply tapping the space key will start to make your flying cruiser move. There are a handful of boards and brooms to choose from; the more expensive they are the faster they move. Quests The quests in this game aren’t exactly a wow factor, they range from killing monsters, collecting monster quest items, collecting item off the floor and talking to some npcs. Quests like collecting monster quest items reward you with penya (In game currency) and 20%, what at high levels is awesome. The only interesting quests are the party quests, what are insanely hard to organize and the job changing ones. Potions Potions in this game are mainly considered "food and sweets", they do have a timer, different foods have different time limits. You can easily find food from killing monsters, or you can purchase them from the npc. Food in this game doesn't heal a major amount of hp or mp, except the ones what you spend a lot of money on. Mp recovering items are potions, not food, food isn't magical enough. Player made shop system You simply drag the item from your inventory into the shop box, type in or press the keys into what you want to price it as, write a shop title, and click ok. Unfortunately you can't create buying shops in this game, only selling, also there is a limited amount of items you may put into a shop, and there are no punishments or benefits for creating a shop. Except when you make one on a npc. Dungeons There is a dungeon in every town, so you won't be disappointed, each dungeon has it's own monsters and maps. You can explore them with friends and maybe find something rare from one of the monsters! Note: The higher level dungeons are located in the higher level maps, so if you plan to explore the higher level dungeons, make sure your high level. Cash shop The bandwagon talk about the flyff cash shop is, "cs makes game unfair". I must say, the cash shop when used in a mass way, can enhance the gaming experience by a lot. It can potentially improve leveling speed by at least 50%+. It can also earn you an immense amount of in game currency by trading in cash shop items in game via the shop system. The cash shop also creates a very negative emotion around the whole game; some players have a negative attitude towards other players who spend money on the cash shop and benefit from it in a very great way. Also players who do spend money on cash shop items have a dislikeable attitude towards other players who "don't" spend money on the cash shop, I consider this as an arrogant prospective. If you want to enjoy the game more then normal, I advise spending some money on the cash shop.

Who are you? "I'm no one" |
okay let me adjust your post: YOu can solo with Blade,Satan Psykeepers, BJ, Kiting Elementors and Billposters Why you ask? they only need Leech (Leech WIth RM is optional) Blade: has high attack rate and almost never misses Satan Psykeeper: stops the enemy and attacks at range therefor deal damage whitout beeing hurt makes them exceptional bosshunters BJ: High Critical and Knockback makes them impossible to reach this is really a exploit of a class wich is not really allowed but the GM dont care Kiting Elementors: your general Hit & Run elementor we all hate them but still we love them Full INT running like morons and dying at popcranks dealing high damage with windfield Slow and boring (trust me) Billposters: the Ability to buff themself gives them the advantage to all classes in the game because they wont need much Healing until they reach a certain lvl
By the by the Elements are Fire, Wind, Earth, Electric and water |
