Why play Eve when I can play an even more intelligenter game like scrabble, which has more action in it anyway.

True... or just mess around MS Excel.  At least Excel is free, while EvE costs you monthly sub... and they're essentially the same thing.

Weird, two common complaints against EVE are "it's a spreadsheet / no action" and "you just get ganked randomly at gates by old players."

Makes me realize most people don't "get" EVE. Your experience is up to what YOU make of it.

BS , im running 2 eve accounts one with 72mill and another with 35 mill , you have no fucking clue what you are talking about.

Sandbox games bore me to tears. I found UO very boring and couldn't get into Eve at all. Not everyone wants the same thing out of a game that you do. WAR is a breath of fresh air for me, it is most of the good parts(PvP, casual grouping) of the MMORPG genre without the stuff I don't like (pve gear grinds etc). The combat is as fast paced as WoW so I still never understand that argument, sounds like people who quit by level 5 and never really got any skills to me.

WAR is what AV was supposed to be in WoW. 
I've only done two dif. scenarios and each of them have been better then any single BG in WoW.
More diversity within a class with all of the skills and abilities you can get.

I've been sick to death of the EQ style of MMO.  Oddly enough, I'm loving WAR.

After 4 years of WoW the only thing that would keep me resubing was doing BG's with friends.  I've been looking for a good PvPcentric game; I found it.

Anyone picking up WAR for PvE is making a mistake.  I've been trying to get a friend to play something other then WoW for 2 years now; I've been unseccesfull.  I got WAR, played it, called him and all I said was, "you know who would like WAR?  Anyone that is more interested in doing BG's in WoW; with questing as a means of diversion."  He hung the phone up, went and baught WAR and for the first time in a very long time I got a call at 8:30 in the morning from him asking me to log into a game and play.  WAR is the first game in the last couple of years I've spent multiple hours playing, had an urge to play after logging off, and woke up the next morning actually wanting to play more.

I'm not one for lore, but damn, the ToK thing is nice.  I like clicking an object and getting xp and seeing a new entry in my tome.  Everywhere I go, and everytime I do something it seems like I unlocking something. 

In a scenario a player killed me, I got xp for dying to that player and actually levelled.  When every other game penalizes you for dying in PvP, WAR rewarded me. 

I made an alt, logged in, and immediately entered into PvP.  Not only could I do PvP at lvl 1, I can contribute. 

I log into WoW, hop on my mage, enter BG and run from locks.  I have not come across a single class that makes me go WTF!  Although, goblin shamans are pretty sick nasty.

My bright wizard feels like he rains destruction.  I have something around 10 skills and I use everyone of them.  My mage in WoW feels feeble compared to it, and I spend the magority of my time spamming a single key.  When a melee class gets within range of my BW I don't feel like I'll die instantly, my mage in WoW does. 

Do a scenario and you make money, xp, renown to get gear.  Items drop in scenarios, Items I can use, and sometimes better then what I have.  WoW bg's end up costing me money, and I have no choice but to grind PvE either for gear or for repairs.

Combat actually feels like it moves at a very good pace.  It's not to fast, not to slow.  Tanks are viable in PvP, healers aren't the end all.  Every try and kill a guy in a WoW bg with a dedicated healer, how about try and stop a druid running with a flag.

LoTRO held me for just over half an hour.  LoTRO is a PvE game, and in my opinion it sucks, and plays nothing like WAR.  Having the same basic combat mechanics does not in any way mean that they play the same.  WAR and LoTRO are about as similliar as SWG and DAoC.  Trying to draw a comparison between the two games is just silly, each is geared toward an entirely dif. player base.

Well you went in expecting it to fail. So what are some of these NEW ideas you have for MMO's? So what you dont like.. not everyone liked WOW, or Lotro or AoC or Eve.. there just GAMES!

It seems to get better day by day. Just this afternoon, I had a run of the Nordland scenario. We (Order) took the Lighthouse and met the Destruction side at the Fortress, we drove them back, but didn't get far. We fought till the scenario ended on that edge between Fortress and Barracks, with everyone in this tiny space, smacking away, healing, spells flying all over the place. Us pushing them back, them pushing us back again. It was awesome! Best game I had ever.
