I don't know what this talk is of EVE being so "deep" and free to do whatever. I tried it and, well, I loved the graphics, sounds, music... but the gameplay seemed rather boring.
Shortly after I left, I came across a game that appears to be the exact oppisite of EVE... having poor gfx, sounds and music, but very VERY deep and open gameplay. That game being StarQuest Online. Its an independant game, lets you do almost anything, walk around in your ship inhabited by player crew, even board anothers vessle. Even porting down to a planet to do an away mission or further investigate scanned life. quite fun when you have a large team online manning the consoles and trying to coordinate through the chaos of the ship rocking and fireballs erupting accross the hallway durring battle. Sombody captured some big mean creatures off a planet and put it aboard there cargo station... needless to say, when I sought to board it and snoop around... heh Also, where else can you teliport an unruly Ensign onto a target drone, and then blow it up with a torpedo? |

Well, sorry you didn't find what you were looking for in EVE-O. It's not a game for everyone to be sure. I hope you enjoy SQO. Personally though, I find EVE-O to be a very thought provoking game with great depth and at the same time the most heart poundingly exciting game I've played. Cheers! |

I played the entire trial by myself, and that was rather boring, but I hear if you get a group or get into a corp than it gets fun. Personally, I've never been able to find a corp and none of my rl-buddies will play. -------- The most awesomest after school special T-shirt: |

An easy way to find a corp is to check out the recruitment center and either post on a thread that interests you or contact them ingame. The majority of corps don't have any (or very minimal) entry requirements and most will let you join simply by asking them to join. And, you're right. Many activities in EVE are more fun when you are part of a group that shares your goals. |

I don't think you can post a thread on the forums with a trial account. I remember trying and not being able to. -------- The most awesomest after school special T-shirt: |

Is this an EvE post? i mean really? |

You can create your own corporation if you don't wish to join other corps. Beware though; you can legally be attacked by another corporation if they send an official war declaration. The police will not come to your aid in this case

Soo they didnt have shiny signs at every turn and nice men holding your hand and cheer whenever you pressed a red button correctly ? Also the title is beyond misleading,I would question your inteligence, but I doubt you have any at all.. |

tell me what EVE can do better than SQO besides have better graphics (and less bugs :P ) |

Why bother, you have made up your mind already. If you found Eve that boring you don't want to spend any time learning how to play it. Eve is not for everyone, it has a very steep learning curve and if you don't commit any time to understanding the game, you will find it boring. |

Are you seriously trying to Hype that terrible ass mmo in the Eve forums? normally I would say Gameplay > graphics but in this case Eve kicks this games ass in every way. I'm sure you and the eight players playing that game are having a great time.

When i read the title, i was expecting a valid post with arguments about why EvE isnt a sandbox in Op's oppinion. I open the thread only to find its another effing clueless troll trying to advertise for a piece of crap mmo that, in his teen mind, considers is good. Anyway, hf playing whatever that mmo name is. |
