I also never use x-fire, or know anyone who does.

I agree that its 100% useless garbage.

To be honest, showing me how much time i waste on mmo's would probably casue me to quit.

Anyway its kind of embarassing to be showing off how much time you play any given game.

Its cool for those little leet kids though, i guess.

Xfire is ok for a rate of change or trend.  But using the absolute number or ranking is pretty useless

The thing with AoC was the large and consistent decline.

Even then it is not hugely reliable, but it is ok for trends.

One comment here... Thought everybody was aware of that AoC does not work very well with Xfire. People stop using xfire with AoC. Even today this is still the case. AoC and xfire does not mix very well.

If you''re going to be crazy, you have to get paid for it or else you''re going to be locked up.

Not everyone uses Xfire so there icould be a lot of misconception on game ranks.  I used to use it but do I really need to show people how many hours ive spent in game? The ToK tells me how many hours ive played anyways so I see no point.

Really the only the X-fire is good for is getting free video capture software and its not limiting you to 30 seconds.

Playing Guild Wars. Waiting for Fallen Earth and SE new MMO.

Who are you addressing? Is there someone here in particular who used x-fire to show the decline in Conan but now discounts its efficacy?

Xfire is a very good tool to measure subscriber trends. We should take the number after one month and then simply compare it every subsequent month to see if numbers are going up or down.

One should never use it to estimate subscription numbers on it's own.

Must we go through this with every launch? Why bash games just because you dont like it or are playing a different one.I like all MMOS for there own reasons.Currently playing WAR does that mean i dislike WoW or must bash it?No.This community is terrible. We should like to see all MMOS succeed and make money and keep bringing new adventures to the table for us to enjoy.Seriously give it a rest children.

Wouldn't it simply mean you're measuring WAR players using XFire, rather than WAR players? I mean, I sure as hell don't use XFire, and I'm sure I'm not alone on that one.
