I just picked up my retail box from the store.....So i go onto account management and put in the key to my existing OB/HS account and it immedialty asked for a payment type......

It says it comes with a free month, but it won't let me activate without a game card or sub, is there anyway to activate the key without it?

After playing for the last two weeks I'm inactive and unable to sub... does Mythic not want my business?

There is no way to start your sub without entering some kind of payment method. Not that I know of anyway.

You need to enter your Retail cd-key at the Activate a key option at the top of the page. Then it will ask you if you want to upgrade a current account or create a new one. I assume you will be wanting to upgrade.

Most MMO's work that way, they normally won't charge until the next payment is needed though, so you can just cancel before your free month is over.

You either havent' played many MMOs or got spoiled with one that was desperate.   The 30 Free days is not a 30 Day Free Trial infact no one gives you a real 30 Day Free Trial they give you 10 to 15 day free trials or just 3 days and even then those Programs do not appear at Launch. 

Its 30 Free days for sighing for buying the game and becoming a subscriber.  If you dislike the game within the 30 days you can cancel and never get a hit on your CC.   But in order to "subscribe' and get the 30 free days before you aer billed you must enter a credit card or a time card. 

Its common sense when a game launches.  If you aren't adult enough to remember to cancel subscriptions maybe you shouldn't play at all.

Just a reminder its not a 30 Day Free Trial its 30 Free Days for buying the game & subscribing.   If you were playing at HS and you pre ordered from certain locations you have until the 22nd  to enter your CD Key to prove you bought the game and yes it means you have to sign up.  Everyone else must of done it by Friday. 

Free Trial time ended with the Open Beta folks.    A launch game won't just give away free time until several months later (unless your Age of Suck I mean Conan).   EQ2 didn't, WoW Didn't, DDO Didn't (though maybe they should of sooner), not even Lord of the Rings did.   You had your free grace period during the OB & the HS asking for more is like being a greedy lil child.
