http://www.gram.pl/news_8gzqGO,3_Premiera_polskiej_wersji_gry_Age_of_Conan_przesunieta.html Translated using Google: "Yes, we have good and bad news for Age of Conan players" - said Marcin Marz?cki, Director of Marketing CD Project. "Bad news is, of course, that the launch of the Polish version of Age of Conan will not take place in October and slightly more than 3 months later, that is, in January of next year. How did this decision? At the end of summer we visited the Norwegian office Funcom. Presents us with the mass of innovations and improvements, which will be implemented by the end of the year. To launch the game in DX10 did huge impression, and it was only the beginning of a long list of changes. Soon it became clear to us that we are already a few months Age of Conan will be different, a much better game than the one that had its premiere in May. For the CD project and Funcom this was not a simple decision from the point of view of business. We decided to postpone the premiere in order to wait for the perfect game. " In addition to long-awaited DX10 mode, players will get a full PVP system together with the whole sets of arms, possibilities to gain levels and ranks as well as the consequences of their actions. Can no longer kill with impunity vulnerable low-level players - this will involve the risk of loss of rank or even money. There will also be instances exclusively dedicated to the fight PVP. The revised and balanced distribution of points system will be skills and talents of trees. The authors also make available a completely new sets of weapons usable forms of very personal nature. You will be able to get it in existing dungeons, which will be full of new items and new zones, targeted at the level 80 players. Added dozens of quests to fill "content gaps" occurring between the levels of 30-40 and 50-60, a new land and improved combat siege system. "The good news is that the Polish players will be practically a new game - much improved and developed the original terms. At any price you want to avoid the "sin" of haste made recently by the publishers of MMO games. We decided to wait and offer players a game, which will be perfect and give them a 100% satisfaction. "At the end Marcin Marz?cki added -" But that's not the end of this good news. To reward the players lengthened the waiting time, we are preparing a huge surprise if it comes to subscription. Disclose the details soon. "
My translation: Last patch didn't change sh*t. The game is dead. If a miracle should happen, we'll launch in January. If not, we'll write off the expenses, happy that we haven't lost more. |

or maybe, the translation could be something like. "The good news is that the Polish players will be practically a new game - much improved and developed the original terms." sounds like someone doesnt want to do the same mistake twice. |

And they realized that two weeks before the planned launch date? I believe AOC was going to be operated by CD Project there (local servers) - so before they invest even more money, they probably want to wait and see if Funcom is capable of turning the game around. Or whether it can survive til January. |

I guess vast majority of polish players is already done with AoC anyway, and those few who stick with the game play the English version, so what is the point of making localized version anyway? The plans for this ware made before launch and I think everyone both in FC and in CD Project expected the game to be far more popular and successful then it turned out to be ( IMHO the game is doing very poorly: 32-34 place on Xfire, down from 100 000 hours/day to about 5500 in 3 months! ). Localized version can be attractive to non-english speaking player base, but those would be mainly teenagers and the game is mature rated... |

Might have something to do with the new management. I'm sure stuff over there is pretty much a clusterflak as of this moment. Wouldn't be surprised if we hear about more position changes in the near future. |

He he yeah, the poles are not like the germans, the spanish or the french. They actually bother to learn english (at least from the experience I have had with poles). |
