There seems to be a growing trend that is happening on this forum. Whenever someone says they don't like it, the people that do like it immediately reply with one of the following:

1) Go back to WoW

2) You are just a hater

3) You are just a troll

4) You probably didn't even play it

5) You only got to level <insert level here>? it gets WAY better later on!

6) Everything you said is wrong!

7) This game is nothing like WoW!

But then when someone makes a review that is positive about the game, or a "OMG BEST MMO EVA!" all you see is:

1) Great review!

2) Unbiased and very factual!

3) Well thought out, great job!

You guys need to realize that not everyone is going to like this game, and that your opinion isn't right, it's your opinion. Just accept the fact that some people won't like it.

This is what happens with EVERY MMO. Heck, I'm an EQ2 player who may check out WAR, and even I can admit EQ2 has huge glaring faults like every other MMO does.

Enjoy the game? Great! Don't like the game? That's cool too. Raging over people's opinions = not so good.

Abe, people are allowed to hate the game, they are allowed to not like it.

The thing simply is.

For us who have actually played the game, we can see the bullshit coming from the posts.  Heck I'd have to give WAR a 7.8 myself right now, and i love the game.  There are problems.

But just because has a opinion, does not mean you can just ignore the facts of the subject.

If people want to argue over the game being good or bad let them, its their own life they choose to waste. Might aswell let them be and enjoy your time :)

There's nothing wrong with people disliking the game, everyone's entitled to their opinion. There is something wrong, however, when they just can't seem to let go of that and continously try to ruin it for other people and go off on a crusade to prevent others from trying it.

Also abe, I'd like to suggest to you, that you just stop going to mmorpg.com for a couple weeks since you are.

1. A war troll.

2. A sandbox skill based mmo fan.

3. Still bitter over SWG.

Pretty much sums it up.  Once the forums calm down, and your rage has subsided from the fact that people actually like WAR and are not following you like sheeple, then come back and continue on with your posting.

How am I a WAR troll? Actually haha this falls right into the original topic. I didn't like the game when I TRIED it and I am a troll for stating my opinion that I didn't like it, even though I didn't even say it explicitely in this thread.

However, your other two points are correct. I have no rage. I am enjoying Eve at the moment. I don't want people to "follow me like sheeple", but I am curious to find out why people like games that treat them like sheeple.

I see the topics come up, I click on them if they interest me, I read through the thread and post my opinion. You know, the entire point of a forum? To express and discuss you opinion with others? But because I don't like the game, and express an opinion about not liking the game, I get labeled as a WAR troll, which again falls right back into the main topic of this thread. As your logic would have it, only people that like WAR(or agree with you) are allowed to post opinions about WAR?

Well show me one or two well written reasonable bad reviews of Warhammer Online.  I know of only one or two that has been written in the past couple of weeks that I have come across.  Most of the bad reviews are stuff that blatant WoW fanboy's and Sandbox fans who have been trolling these forums since a month before launch have been rehashing over and over again.  Reasonable bad reviews get the fansmash, but at the same time they get respect from a lot of people who love the game.

Its because people are so desperate to play and like a new MMO. For them it does not matter if WAR is good, innovative, fun etc. The only thing that matters is that everyone agrees that it is a great MMO.  You see, it is very hard to try to like a game, when everyone is bashing it.

One thing is for sure. The MMO industry can not go any lower, quality and innovation wise. But it is still profitable thanks to the nolifers that WoW created. They are ready to pay and spend millions of hours for any same ol' crappy game, and when the forums are packed with supporters, hell, they might even start to really like it! It is a mind game, really.

Have fun trying to like something that is mediocre! I wish I could do the same...

That's what I hate about mmorpg.com, too many haters and trolls trying to crap on other people's games.

This is supposed to be a fan forum where fans can talk about the games that they are playing. Though negative comments are fully legitimate within that context, unfortunately it often takes the form of people jumping up and down and screaming "this game X is poopy!" within the relevant forums.

I'm sure that Warhammer has faults, but lets face it - it's fun ... and it has great potential.

Whether you think they are better than WoW or not is your opinion, but I think everyone can agree they aren't a 9. I would put AoC around a 9 for graphics. I would give WAR maybe a 7 for graphics.

Yes, that is the whole idea of a rating system. If something isn't as good as something else in a specific are, why would it get the same rating?

There is saying your part. Then there is going further that steps into trolling. 

Lets say you hate the game and want to express your feelings in a thread, so you do.   You have expressed your feelings.  Why do you ever need to come to another thread to re-express your feelings?  See, that is where it starts to cross the line from expressing your feelings to something else. That something else isn't good imo.

Personally, I think the forums would be better off if, as players, we stopped trying to persuade or disuade of the value of any given game.  Let the games speak for themselves.
