Why would you ever turn Startrek into an XBOX title? I will never see the appeal in an MMORPG made for the Console. I wish DEV companies were not so freaken greedy. Why can't they just be happy with the PC version.

1.  I think they are doing it just to irritate you. 

2. Developers are in business to make money.  Period.  Show me any company that doesn't exist to make money and I'll show you a company that will not exist next year.

3. Personally, I couldn't care less.  I'll probably never play this game on any platform.

4. Not everything is about you.

Pass on the console version... but PC is more complicated, more expensive, and more troublesome... with the exception of the red ring of death of course  lol.

1. I have and love my ps3.  It's amazing and so far beyond what my mindset of a console used to be. 

2. That being said....  I don't EVER want my favorite games from the pc ported to it.   ...ever.

If I can't play it on PC, I just wont play it. Other then that, I just hope it's a good game. I will give it a try just cuz I liked Star Trek.

Nope it says on the official FAQ that they will be working it on the xbox 360 as well...so no misinformation. It is the same engine as Champions after all.

I dn't actually mind it being a console games, console games seem to be the most popular games at the moment. And seeing the lates PC games at the moment PC gaming is turning watered down because it wants to get the console market still playing on the PC. Also most PC games now a days are ports from the consoles.

Consoles aren't watered down games, the people who play them are instantly children who whine all the time. I know many console players who are intelligent blokes, or intelligent teenagers(you do get them sometimes, you know there not all chavs listening to chav music or shouting about chuck norris). There may be a problem with controls but looking at FFXI there isn't much to worry about it.

With the ability of the X-Box and the PS3 to have both a USB keyboard and a USB mouse I really don't see any reason they will have to water it down at all. The new generation of consoles aren't exactly Atari 2600's you know.

I do agree with you to a point.  I feel consoles are very sophisticated nowadays.  They have the technical abilities of PCs from just a couple years ago.

However PCs will out pace them as far as advancement in tech.  Evey 18 months, compared to a consoles run of 5 years maybe.

I saw the video from the convention and the "dude" said 3 years before it hits.  I can't see Xbox 360 supporting this game in the long term considering it is almost three years since launch.  Especially when by the time it does launch I would imagine another next gen console will be planned if not nearing launch by the time the game launches.  The original Xbox was supposed to have SWG but didn't by the way.

I think by the time this game launches an Xbox 360 port will be scrapped.  If they do port it to console it will be for whatever new console is in the works and will coencide around the three year from now launch date.

The fact they may be mentiontioning anything about current consoles now only tells me they may be looking for free publicity with those current consoles audience.  Nothing more...even if it is on their official website.

I know why they are doing this to you. It is because they hate you. It has nothing to do with what a company needs to do. Which is to make money.

FFXI could be played perfectly with only a keyboard (it actually was easier to play without a mouse)

How in the hell are we going to play STO with only a keyboard?

some of you guys are the biggest elitist ,narrow minded, biased people on earth. Just because its an xbox title as well as a pc title doesnt mean its going to be bad. ffxi came out for ps2 and xbox, and there were no differences, and god knows that game was no walk in the park. You guys need to stop being so biased about this. The only mmo that has come out for a console was ffxi, and they didnt have to dumb down anything for it, so why are they going to dumb a game now for xbox 360? they dont have to, and never have to. If they dumb it down, it will be because they wanted to make it eaiser, not because they want to make it easy for xbox players. you can plug a keyboard to an xbox just like you can on a pc and anyone who played ffxi on console knows this for fact!

A console isn't so far from a computer today if you just get a keyboard for it.

And they do port games to the X-box because Microsoft have made an easy tool to port game, why not get a lot of extra potential customers for litle work?

And there are many console games that have been ported to PC with different results. Really hating console games? either you have to much time, are lying or in need of proffesional help... Theyre just different kinds of computers than regular PCs. Do you hate MAC and Linux too?

Hell, I have a PS3, don't use it that much, most as a blue-ray/DVD player but I do play Soulcalibur 4 and GTA 4 sometimes. And a bit Guitar hero after a few beers. Still, for casual playing I prefer the PC every time.

 Graphic wise consoles might be close to computers,but they are aeons away from their functionality complexity,no mods,no advanced gaming improvement programs,games end up being watered down to be sold,very few games actualy have some complexity left in them when they are build for the console.

The main reason why games lately are being ported to the consoles is because of PIRACY.

any new pc game comes up and the darn day it is released you can get it free off different torrrents ect (like emule). Many companies that make pc games lose alot of money or dont make much as expected due to piracy. This is even bigger in 3rd world countries that offer no proctection against piracy.

yes console games can be pirated also , however its very rare.

Also companies are doing this to broaden thier playerbase.

More and more games are going for consoles while few remain on the pc exclusivly.  So hate the darn pirates and all the dungholes who decide to get software for free. they are the ones to blame and hate.

Well, that was easily edited without the insults. aye? This is the reason I cannot buy GTA4 for my $1200 rig built last December.

Games cost a pence to play in mmo space, which makes it work out on the PC vs a consol where asking people to pay beyond the purchase is blasphemy.

I don't like PC game piracy, but lets be honest, mmo's are still not adept to the consol. And if they were, we SWG/EVE vets would leave them in two secs.
