Ya sure looks like #1. In reality it should have a hype of like 4 at this point.

This just goes to show you what kind of people actually play games like this and another major reason besides the tons of other reasons why this game is going to be a miserable failure if it actually manages to get past a public beta period without watching it's untested code crumble like San Franciso after the great 1906 earthquake.

Personally I am betting on a massive unending lagged out , bug fest that puts this project into another 2-3 years of "development" come public beta time.

Really? What else magically made EVERY single game's hype go down except Darkfall at right around the time the DF video came out?

Actually I'm not even going to argue, it's quite obvious what has happened to the Hype meters and anyone with half a brain can see it. No need to prove anything really. But hey, if thats what makes you guys happy, know your game got to the top of a worthless hype meter, then so be it. I'd much rather have a good game, than an over-hyped piece of junk, which is all we have been getting lately. Hopefully Darkfall doesn't follow this trend.

 

 

due to the scaling system when the top game gets dehyped the other games tend to drop also as a consequence.

WAR open beta started and people started dehyping it alot because its as we all not what alot of people wanted.

 

DF released a gameplay video, two publisher announcements and offers something different to whats out there now. so it started getting alot of hype, however due to the dehyping of WAR it didnt raise but stayed steady and infact dropped a few points, however due to other games on the list not doing a heap information wise and not getting a whole lot of hype they started to drop.

 

go and read the FAQ on how the hype meter works before you start throwing hate at DF.

 

Go and read the many many many hype comments on every game on the hype chart that say "Darkfall Rulez" and "DF 2008", or the thread on the official forums calling for people to come here and hype DF while de-hyping everything else before you start making up crap to cover up other crap.

WAsn't the point. You seemed to think that the vaportrolls/DF-haters were resposible for DF not staying above 7. They weren't. The "curve" system and WAR's dropping hype was.

And for the record, DF's score just got owned overnight. Let's invade the other games' forums and cry about an organized attack against Darkfall. If that gets us no where, we can always cut ourselves...
